    Yeah they are alot heavier cars these days and not only that they are restricted with the emissions crap aswell. the Vr6 is a quick car in reality if its looked after

    Yeah mate i have a BMC CDA, B&M Quickshift(Witch i recommend for any VR6 owner) Jettex cat back, Magnecor Leads, and Denso Irridium Spark plugs. Cars awsome man

    I had visions the first time i raced a clio sport that i was going to be embarresed by the French Hot hatch but when the 1996 vr6 highline let rip it was him who seemed a little ebaressed. I thought to myself well it could of just been down to the driver so when i had a black 182 come screaming up my rear end today i thought y not. We left the housing estate with him right up my rear i let rip and so did he he stuck at first and then slowly dropped back about half a cars length then we had to slow down for the turning onto the A1.     I think the vr is a class car it's as quick as a typer and t will outrun the new golf gti so for a big saving you get alot of car, but deffo sort the susspension and dont worry about milage

    The VR can pull and its good at at but it really thrives if you drop gears for example into 3rd at 80mph and 2nd at 40mph you get it right in the power.

    Just been out to the local spar and noticed Lucy pinder has finaly got here nipples out so i had to buy the mag, while i was there i noticed the whatcar mag and it was doing review on the Type R, Mazda 3MPS, Leon Cupra, VW GTI so i bought it as it had the 30-70mph and 50-70mph tests in it so here they are and here are mine My Car - 96 Highline/ B&M Quickshift / BMC CDA / Magnecor Leads / Heat proofed inlet mani / Jetex Cat Back. 30-50mph through the gears - CTR = 6.7sec / Mazda = 5.7 / Leon = 5.7 / VW GTI = 6.7 / VR6 = 6.1 50-70mph in 3rd - CTR = 3.8 / Mazda = 2.8 / Leon = 3.0 / VW GTI =

    Hi just wondered i have a chance of new 268 Dougherty cams for the VR but was wondering if its worth doing as aint gonna supercharge.. Also whats the work thats associated with doing the cams is it just 2 out 2 in or is it gonna be more work?? Last question will i need a re-map or will i be ok Cheers guys n gals Dave

    Alright all well it took a while to get round to it but i have finaly heat proffed the inlet mani and it took about 1hr 30min to do. Any Difference? Well you know tha feeling you get when the engine is cold it feels like you have alot of power thats what it feels like and the engine note has changed quite alot so im really pleased.I would recomend this, I ran it for about half an hour on a country road stoped lifted the bonnet and felt the top of the mani which i never heat proofed and it was nice and cool and obviously the colder the air going in the denser wich means +air +fuel +tourque/Po

    My mate has a new R32 and he has had probles with the ECU and the engine pinking when he puts the foot down its making the car drive like shit he says he has been back to vw several times and they thought it was faulty knocksensor but replaced it and no luck he has been told that a few of them are reacting like this

    I got Magnecor 8mm leads and they are fine get them in blue and if you get the samco hose pack for your car the look the dogs. Spark plugs stick with stock parts unless you rgonna supercharge then get iridium ones

    Had my car serviced and got a ne 60-100 time of 9.98 so thats a big difference. I changed the coilpack because it was arcing like a bitch an i got a set of magnecor leads along with a complete oil change and a cleaned out BMC. I also used that 10k boost in theinlet manifold and i swear it made a diffference. cheers boys
