  1. (im loving the sig by the way....cheating git!)
  2. I've always loved Beetles and always wanted one (Blame Bumblebee...) and it would be a daily driver as well. I would use the beetle during the summer & @ pod, and the Corrado when the wethers not so good. not really into Mk2's tbh. I use the Corrado for track days anyway. Probably not as much fun on track as a mk2, but still, dont really want one.
  3. Are the Brembo's from a Leon Cupra R 4 pot? Coz i seem to remember someone saying they fit straight on. If not, companies like Wilwood do a 4 pot conversion that bolts straight on.
  4. Mr_GTI, no no no, u misunderstand!! The Beetle would mean I could keep the Corrado as well! I think Ive decided against the TT, so now its a) keep Corrado and get Charger keep Corrado and get Quicker Beetle c) keep Corrado and maybe do things like respray and other cosmetic thingies.
  5. I would guess its just Calipers & carriers (plus the obvious disc's). Just done mine actually, tho i went for 312mm setup (uses same calipers as the 288's) so needed a few extra bits, and the difference!! OMG!
  6. Crikey m8, u make it sound like they are devil reincarnated!! LOL! Personally, I dont think they are that bad. Granted some parts are probably a tad more than mk3 vr parts, but thats coz u may be able to get the bits easier from a scrappy!! Door handles? Rear ones from a passat do the job..... But all in all, no worse than a lot of other cars, such Audi's etc.
  7. see now something else has been thrown into the mix.... I've been offered a mint Tax exempt Turbo'd Beetle, which runs sub 13's 1/4 miles......
  8. no not quite got enuf for a 3.2, but I'm thinking that maybe thats what I'll go for in the end. I'm going to keep the Corrado for another couple years. So in the meantime, the question now has changed a little.. Do I get a Charger now and get things like respray (keyed down one side ) done in a few months, when should hopefully have some spare cash from house sale. Or do I get the bodywork sorted and do the charger in a few months....?
  9. well ive finally got enuf for a supercharger now, so its decision time!!!
  10. hey its all personal choice m8! I love the VR6 sound, always have! I also not denying that the S4 shifts like stink, but it still just seems like an RS4 wannabe. Personal opinion.
  11. Guys guys, I know what 20vt's sound like! I've been around running a dub club long enuf to know! (h) I know they sound like a diesel on start up and tbh nothing, cept the new RS4, matches the 12v VR6 for noise! VR6MadMike, I dont like BMW's. They've just got that persona around them. And Im a dub nut, so its gotta be VAG. NiceVR6, good point. I'd not considered the 3.2, figured they might still be too new and hence too pricey, will look into them as an option for sure. Antera309, you bring up a good point re power. As ive said already, power isnt a hude issue for me, but I'd deffo spend £50
  12. oh and I always thought the Corrado was a Golf mk2 floor pan?
  13. Not really. I know the weight of a Corrado VR6 = 1240kg and a Golf Mk4 R32 = 1552kg. Thats quite a jump. my point was that they are a fair size & not a coupe. Im not expalining what I mean very well...LOL! I'm just not looking for a mk4 Golf. They are just too heavy and not really me tbh.
  14. S2 isnt worth it imo, considering ive got a Corrado VR6. S3, same reasons as R32. S4 & RS4 are awesome motors, but S4 just doesnt quite do it for me. Its almost saying "Im like an RS4, but Im not good enuf". RS4 are just too much cash.
