Have searched on here and cant find the exact solution so thought i would ask, basically 1995 highline windows stopped working, fuse no 14 blown, replaced fuse blown again! Some one mentioned to me about a thermal fuse, anyone know where this is and would this cause the blade fuse no 14 to blow if this thermal one was kaput? The key still closes all windows when used to lock the car many thanks, desperate for answer as off to Nurburg tomorrow -
Got the exact same problem with the windows on my 1995 highline, its got a toad alarm system, let me know if you get anywhere

Hello Yes it has got the square repeaters, bit of mix and match then depending on what stock levels VW had left at face lift

Cheers for that, owned Corrado's before first MK3 golf, so just checking all angles, bonus as well is that it has no brake compensator on the rear beam, got to do the do rear bushes this weekend, Corrado was a pig cos the brake compensator was welded to the beam with corrosion, Asked about the ABS as some on here was on about getting Vagcom linked up to cycle the ABS pump on the later type systems??? cheers

Hello, Just got a highline VR6 1995 plate has no plastic trim so assumed it was OBD2, just started poking about at everything (as its going to Nurburg this month and then a few track days back home), and noticed that the engine is definitely OBD1 but the braking system is OBD2 i.e. discs 288mm and later ABS unit. Has this been noted on the any other cars? dont want to think that some ones done an engine swap! Also then should i be using Vagcom to cycle the ABS unit when i change the brake fluid? (strictly not an engine question, but didnt want to duplicate threads) Cheers Dan
