I must say I as disapointed at people lack of whilling to help on here, its as if people dont want to help or simply dont know!!!!

Bump... anyone know?

I figure this is the best place to ask because someone on here has bound to have done it, I did hear a while back that if you put a 2.9 Vr6 throttle body on a 2.8 it wil give you a little bit more power due to it being slightly bigger inside. Is this true? If it is would a 2.9 body fit straight onto a 2.8 OBD1 inlet manifold? Ive got everything else done to mine without going for a forced induction route which is simply far to much money for me and I am looking for where I can get that last bit of power from.

I hope its normal mate.... Yea all the breather pipes are stil as normal as they should be on the car, all its had done is schrick cams and a ported head etc... Would any of the mods make it do it?

Hi people, ive got a bit of a pickle and I need some expert advice. Ive got a OBD1 VR6 that has had some engine work done, cams etc I had the bottom end rebuilt about 700 miles ago. Tonight I took the inlet manifold off to have it polished and I noticed that inside the inlet manifold was traces of engine oil and some sat inside the inlet pipe for the filter etc. I dont want to go straight back to the guy that rebuilt the engine becuase all off last year the car only did about 50 miles so I was wondering if a small ish trace of oil inside there was normal or if its some other problem that is go

Ive got alot of mixed response to this, I priced the pump up today from VW and its £70... I wil try GSF tomorow, Ive just spent 2250 having it rebuilt with a schrick cam etc so it does run a bit warm... The only reason its not there is because when I took the pipe off it broke the plastic suround.... So the electrocs are ok for it, I reckon im going to buy a new one and put it back on...

I wil tel the story then you can work it out... I was stuck in traffic yesterday with the VR6 waiting to get to maky d's, she was getin fairly hot but the fans where cutting in and out so that wasnt a problem... I went round the drive threw (que 30 min old big mack, yuck) and parked up to eat my burger... When I turned it off it was red hot.. I ate my burger and went to restart the car to drive off but it wouldnt turn over, just making a sort of "de" noise like the started is trying, but not doing anything. I put the lights on and tried again and it killed the lights, like there was a really b

Yea it gets slower or faster depending on how fast you go. As soon as you go upto second gear the noise goes away. Any ideas? Sync?
