hi i am currently run a cat-bypass on my charged vr6 and want to get a performance cat that will last and not loose too much power. now is it worth me getting a performance one incorporated in a custom exhaust system or just swap the bypass with the old cat for the mot. can anyone recommend a performance cat? cheers

I had a look on that site but the only one i could find was the Sebring Back Box. If anyone has a any experience with Sebring can you let me know what you think. this is the one I've found. http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=48335 cheers

Hi I have been looking for ages for a performance back box but I’m struggling. I wanted milltek but you have to buy the whole system. Jetex don’t sit straight (I heard) and Magnex has gone bust. Can anyone recommend a performance back box that is not loud and reasonably priced? I’m after twin round one, quite and a good performer. Anyone had any experience with janspeed, serbring, piper or peco. If anyone could give some advice or post up a link it would be much appreciated THANK YOU

I've tried millteks web site and they give a list of Stockists and I've gone though most of them, all of which only sell the full system. And I've tried ebay and google and still no luck.

Hi Does anyone know where I can get a milltek backbox, all I want is the backbox but I can't find anyone that sells it separately from the rest of the sytem. I'm after the Twin 76mm Jet. Cheers!!!!!

I had a cat bypass done by H&S the same time as the manifold but the rest is standard apart from the back box which need replacing as it's not the best and a little restrictive. How much did you pay for your system? I would like to get the rest of mine done. cheers -

Finally got it on a rolling road at stealth in the week and it managed to get 271.1bhp and 235.6 on the first run bit me and Vince agreed ot could get more. So after a few more runs and Vine working his magic it ran 283.2bhp and 238.5 Ib ft. Happy with that but was told with a better back box should get a little more. Also removed the side skirts and found a bit of rust and lots of glue. I wanted to get the spoiler sprayed and I got a new JOM grill so got them sprayed and the sills sorted at the same time. No more plans for the rest of the year apart for so new wheels ..... I think? -

went to santa pod on saturday to see how much of a difference the charger would make. previously i ran 15.7099 and cross the line at 86.38mph. now charged the best time i got was 14.3321 @ 93.81mph. reasonably happy with that (1.3778 difference), next time i go i hope to have a set of 16" rather than the 17" on and not to be carry as much petrol. target next year to break 14sec -

oliVeR6- I did originally see it on eBay but didn’t bid on it and saw it again on piston heads. I had a highline at the time and was going to supercharge it but when I saw the syncro I thought I would rather supercharge that. Lizard Racing- the manifold cost £800+vat and cat was £100+ vat THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS -
Got the car last year, pretty much standard apart from the wheels, coilovers and it having a right hand drive conversion. (and some crappy ecotec valves) engine before supercharger manifold before the new manifold (custom Hayward and Scott) Now supercharged Gonna heat wrap the manifold this week and if i get time polish the inlet manifold and get rid of the ecotec valve (previous owner mod). Got allot more planned but won't be doing much more this year apart form maybe some body mods and change the wheels. Full engine spec 2.9 obd2 stage 2 vf engineering supercharger kit 13 ro

stuartvr6hi replied to mrjustad's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
anyone get anywhere with adjusting there rear camber I want to out 15'' on my syncro and lower it. -
Cheers everyone!!!! I’ll order an obd2 kit then, allot of people on edition38 are saying obd2 aswell. And as for those fuel savers they will defiantly be coming off, they were on the car when I got it and do nothing but make an annoying whistling noise.

I have a golf mk3 1995 N reg 2.9 vr6 syncro and will be ringing up for a supercharger tomorrow. BUT I'm not sure if I have and obd1 or obd2 engine. I though all 2.9 were obd1. I've check this forum before on the difference between an obd1 and obd2 and everything points to an obd2 engine. I have heard of 2.9 being obd2 so can anyone help. ps I know people are always posting asking about this but I'm desperate! (I think it is an obd2) it does have- http://www.vr6oc.com/images/Guides/obd/obd7.jpg and other obd2 bits
