tbh i dont have loads of mechanical skill although a little, i blew my gearbox up the other day and was dreading the bill for a new 1, i rung up the local vw spares and manage to sorce a 2nd hand gearbox, so i fort sod it i'll give it a go and try fit it myself, it took me a bit of time but it's all 100% ok and running! u not thought of doing it yourself??

Turn's out it wasnt the engine mount, but were the brackets for the front cross member are wielded to the chassis, the wield's had broken, iv never seen this happen before and it's gonna be a bitch to sort out, hopfully its fixed for sunday!!!!

Was driving down the road eirlyer and noticed the car didnt feel the same, I was feeling bumbs in the road a bit harder, And then hearing what i fort at first was the splitter hiting the road every now and then, got to the stage were this was happning to offen, so i pulled over to have a look under the car and the sump seemed really low to the floor. I open the bonnet and notice the engine is way to far forward, so im guessing its the front engine mount thats gone? just wonderd if theese are commen to go? As i have a reciept for 1 with the paper work for the car. And if its worth changing the

Im geting the same. Seems fine from cold, just when she's had a run, But im not geting the handbrake light come up. Im going to change plugs and lead's tomorow if i get the chance and hope that will cure it!

not sure what the colour name for mine is, it's a blue/purple colour!
