If so can you tell me how you've attached the mid section to the cat? I've had right trouble getting a proper seal on the cat. The sleeve supplied (pictured below) nearly gives a proper fit, but because of its lack of cuts down the side of one end it can't be clamped onto the cat properly. My mk2 Jetex system was a piece of p*ss to fit,it doesn't help that this system is a generic/fit all Mk3s system and has no instructions. Any help much appreciated

thanks for the reply The stereo is an aftermarket pioneer that was already fitted when I bought the car but I don't think it has any security locking. Looking at my bentley manual the stereo is on fuse 22 along with the cigarette lighter, I'll see if thats working.

I disconnected the -ve terminal on the battery for a couple of hours today to reset the ECU. When I reconnected it the stereo was dead. Whats the likely cause, blown fuse? *-)

Yeah, I was going to suggest spacers. Not liking LMs - expensive mistake to make, doh! :-|
