ah ok the guy i was reading from mustve had a mk5 R32 lump and meant that HE could use any mk5 pedal so what would be required in fitting the pedal from a mk4? James i think thats a good idea, although i have NO clue when i'd be doing mine!

dont think an install guide would be in their interest, its the business after all! a buying guide would be good though, lets start one going engine (goes without saying) ECU loom (how much do we need? engine harness, or anything pre-ECU?) downpipe uprated mounts modified front mount bracket ive read different things about mk4/mk5 engines needing the alternator/PAS bracket so could do with some clarification DBW throttle pedal - read that any from a mk5 should be suitable and it bolts to the floor so shouldnt need any fiddling. also the look piece from the pedal TB

think if a few of us had the right bits and pieces from the loom's and ECU we could get a group buy rate if we sent them at the same time?

exactly what i plan to do Kev sourced a low milage 4mo lump with complete loom (not just engine side) ECU, clocks etc looking for spare OBD2 loom now to send the lot off as set out the lump should go in fairly easy and if the wirings good and proper should be doable over a bank holiday

reckon you could have the custom loom and ecu, engine and other bits for £2k easy. no way fitting should be £2k

How does the coolant maintain system pressure with no header tank? Is this some kind of 'cleaned engine bay' thing? something like that Kev i'll be either running an E36 or Fiat Brava rad with built in tank anyway

why do you lose the heater if you bin the stock header?

not in the short term Kev so can the aux pump be binned like on the 12v?

this is the front mount bracket issue as mentioned 4mo lump with VR bracket as you can see there is a gap so would need wither packing out or bending also the reach on the top bolt isnt long enough

dont forget the DBW throttle pedal too could ideally do with getting some clarification on a few points that ive come across reading a few things is there any pre-ECU loom changing needed for example between the fuseboard and ECU? does the DBW throttle pedal bolt up to the pedal box or does a new bracket need welding on? im sure there's a few more...

ok cool, just have visions of dropping stuff in loooking at it and saying 'crap' well i also read on CF that it drops onto the vibra front mount no problem, this being on a rado though and not a mk3 so front cross member is different

only one i can see they have listed is if youre keeping the 02M 'box was just reading a thread on corrado forum and there was some mention of using remote cooler on other mount, i'll see what i can dig up

ok, so its like the bracket isnt deep enough, if im to understand right? i'll check with Dutchbuild too they do all the 02M stuff stands to reason they do that too

kev when you say 'slight modification to the front mount bracket' could you clarify a bit? or C2 chime in? im guessing it'll be pretty much the same for a 4mo lump

well just found that i wont have to declare it to the insurers which means i can keep the VR! and i wont have a record so my life isnt over its just a case of damage limitation really ive owned up to my error so hopefully admitting my mistake and providing evidence of why i came to the wrong conclusion will be in my favour

well exactly but i cant see the court backing me on that. i mean theyre assuming that because it was caught on the highway for that period it was there for the entire period also with regards to the map i provided them... if they havent disclosed that in the documents, and also nothing photographic then can they prove i was even parked there? cos about 10 metres along there are off the road spaces that i was informed by the property co are properly private, and in fact i moved my car into a space there until i could clear the garage
