  1. thanks mate unfortunately the correspodance with the property management was done over the phone so its on my word which i know in court wont mean anything got some photo's of the space in question this morning, hopefully that should go some way to defending my original position that i was unaware it was still part of the highway difficult part will be proving the car was garaged up until the end of '08 as otherwise they will try and get 3 years of tax out of me
  2. right thought i'd update this a bit... after several back and forths with the DVLA they had informed me that the area that the car was parked was infact part of the public highway, albeit poorly maintained and not marked as such. (so much for the public coffers...) the correspondence included them asking ME to provide them with a sketch map of the area in question, and it was implied in their letter that this would be in my suport. they took this sketch to the council (who incidentaly not got back to me about the same matter) who confirmed that it was part of the adopted highway. so a few week
  3. does it retain the 5.5 litre capacity? does the R32 sump etc fit the 4mo 24v lump the same?
  4. its more the pipework for it cos its ugly as sin and right in the way of where the new rad's filler cap will be
  5. my aircon needs regassing, and i cant even remember the last time i tried to use it so thought well might as well get rid saves weight, gets rid of load of ugly stuff in the engine bay... so aside from disconnecting everything related what do i need to do? i'll need a different/shorter belt different rad? was getting one with built-in header anyway... what about blanking the switch on the sensor block? or just leave the plug there and delete the wire?
  6. another reason could be that if youre retaining the MAF (not going standalone) the MAF needs to be as far from the turbo intake as you can get it on the TIP, thats why a lot of people use stubby filters the BMC is quite a large unit
  7. c'om can someone gie me a YES or NO? thanks
  8. all the ebay ones with the red springs are made by the same place in china just get branded differently and priced to match i had some from a guy on clubpolo, they did me for 18 months but gone KW since which are a LEAGUE apart heard a lot of good stuff about AP coilovers. made by kw/weitec
  9. maybe a fault on the ballasts then? are they ebay jobs?
  10. i know this should be in the correct tech section, but its Yes or No so need a quick answer would mk3 VR stub axles bolt onto a mk1 caddy? its not for a brake swap but something else so is the bolt pattern for a VR stub axle the same as the caddy?
  11. try these places http://ph-server.com/iclair/ http://www.tunershop.co.uk/Home/ http://www.titanium-touch.de/
  12. maybe a loose connection on the back of the lights? i know the wiring int here is pretty tight for space
  13. well i was looking into rebuilding a 12v and figured it would cost the same if not less to get a low miler 24v which would be remappable and run nicer then just thought 'well what if...' just ideas also i think itsusefull to have a thread for this topic, just in case (h)

    E38 2010

i hear what people are saying about theft on site, and yeah it is a shame and shocking that it happens amongst a relatively small community, i dont think its limited to E38 show though. just there's more feedback for bad stuff, and that the show is very closely linked to the forum the bad word spreads pretty fast i personally think that the show's rapid growth has done it no favours, and you could predict year on year that with more and more people going for the friday and saturday 'mash-up' that obviously people were gonna start to go specifically to casue trouble, and with the knowledge the
