  1. raking this up again! has anyone looked into the C2 motosrports mani? that utilises the stock cast iron manifolds, and drops the turbo right down behind the block.
  2. bonkers power when when when will these whole kits be available off the shelf in the UK??!! Americans are so spoilt
  3. in this shot where has the turbo outlet piping been routed? looks nice and minimal, as far as VRT installs go
  4. great thread, very inspirational! looking to go along the same lines; start up on a basic set-up and then upgrade as parts become available hows your trasmission holding up? did you uprate the clutch at all?
  5. found a new T04e, these are the specs .50 A/R COLD .63 5 BOLT STANDARD HOT SIDE 3"INLET DIAMENTER 2"OUTLET .57 COMPRESSOR WHEEL TRIM .60 A/R COMPRESSOR .63 A/R TURBINE 57 TRIM TURBINE WHEEL: EXDUCER:2.48" MAYOR:2.89" COMPRESSOR WHEEL EXDUCER: 2.07" MAYOR:2.36" this sound ok? looking to use 95mm MAF, 440cc inj, blah blah
  6. still a proper fucking rip. 103.9 and oil is down a third per barrel
  7. just seeing if there's another option to redrilling my rear discs to 5x112 or running adapters are there any OE discs the same as mk3 rear that have 5x112 drilled?
  8. thats all i needed to hear! cheers
  9. just a yes or no Q i guess. will a US OBD2 ecu be a straight swap for the equivalent UK item? only cos i've found quite a few which already have C2 #42 turbo software fitted...
  10. ah cool, had crossed my mind. just something to put up with for a few hundred miles then?
  11. ok so i just fitted 312mm brakes from a TT. sorted the problem of the splash shield rubbing on the back of the discs now that noise has gone ive noticed another one either when pulling away slowly, moving slow in traffic or pulling to a hault i can hear a humming noise. it stops when i apply a bit of brake, or accelerate any ideas?
  12. all sorted, bent the shield back and it clears all round. thanks for the tip!
  13. 312mm TT on the fronts (see sticky top of page) 280mm rear conversion kit
  14. anyone know if these are available through a uk based trader? failing that does anyone have a p/n for an early passat vr hub? been told that these will fit in a mk2 g60/16v upright cheers
  15. after doing a bit of searching thinking it could be a combi of badly settled pad (the outside one that sits in the carrier) and the brake shield. sound about right? i'll come to the other sound when i can have a proper look
  16. fitted my 312's on saturday and have got a few problems since putting it all together. 1st I get a constant rubbing noise like the pad is constantly touching the disc. think its probably just settled too close and is rubbing the dissc, easy enough to fix. what im more concerned about is the noise gets louder as i turn. i checked for cleaerance of the caliper/carrier against the wheel inner there's also another noise i get as im moving off slowly or crawling in traffic, its intermitment rubbing/grinding. not gonna drive the sar now til i can have a look but wanna now what im looking for as far
  17. guys im trying to picture the clearance round the sides and back. would it be possible to run the atp mani and dp set-up WITHOUT clocking the turbo, and running the turbo outlet round the side of the blcok to the fmic then the usual route to the tb
  18. thats the plan! switch the intake/MAF to the passenger side and bung the battery in the boot. unless i find a decent 2nd hand SRI anyway $900 for a practically new Schimmel a good price? pre shipping though
  19. there's a guy on vortex selling the mani and dp. ceramic coated too, dunno if the dp is the v band one though tbh the price between the atp and spa mani isnt much different, so be better to go atp and not worry about it cracking or mating up flush on the ports
