  1. I sold my solitudes in March, they were in good condition with no kerbing and nearly new tyres, I got £100 which is a lot less than the tyres would cost you.
  2. I'd personally search for a good second hand gearbox and fit that, you'll have it off the road less time that way.
  3. Lets have a poll for no reason, just cause I like them.
  4. Intresting, it may well turn out that way, then raise the prices of older cars as you said.
  5. My 97 highline with 78K and full VAG history does the same, my 96 highline I had last year with 126K and full history did it too. My mates Clio 182 does it also and recons it does this to protect the engine when cold. My car will die if you boot it when only warmed for a few mins, if you drive 2 miles or so and boot it, it cuts down to 3 or 4 pots and runs really bad for the next mile. I've got used to it so I let it warm up as if it was a turbo car, since then I've had no probs.

    New M1

Looks great, but by the time it's all developed it will probally look different. I'd have and Audi over a BMW every time. Long live the R8
  7. Doesn't sound too bad, but it's all in the veiwing and test drive. I'd be looking for rust, I've had 2 rusty MK3 golfs.

    D 90's

richie, I was looking at your car again, are you sure they are 8" wheels on yours ??? Mine has 8"s all round with 25mm adaptors rear and 20mm adaptors on the front, but my wheels stick out more on the rear and alot more on the front than your wheels do, my fronts stick out too much IMO and don't look quite right.
  9. I sure do, funny thing is I'm looking at dates fore booking a few days in Krakow, Poland next month, easy jet is £34.99 each way, and 3 day car hire for a pug 106 being £99. Oh and I didn't put in Vento VR6 in the poll, I'll see if I can add this.
  10. I'd seen the B & M of ebay among others, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130095988423&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 Do many people do this ? doesn't seem like it, and I find that suprising as the throw is probally longer than anything I've ever owned bar a Transit.
  11. I take it by the silence that this is not a common mod to do to your Golf :S
  12. You must be really proud, I would be. The detail is spot on. It's stunning, I'm nearly speachless. (l)
  13. We've had colour or VR6 Golf, now type of VR6 to kill the time. Sorry if I missed your let me know if I have missed any models.
  14. Ok, as requested, what colour is you VR6. Thanks to VW MIKE for all the proper names of the colours.
  15. Does anybody have a short throw gearstick, and do you rate it as worth while fitment. I think the gearchange throw is too long as standard, so will probally go for a short shirf. I've seen 2 types, 1 is a new gearstick and the other is some part you change inline from stick to the gearbox.

    Airbags

Do airbags have a best before date on them, I was under the impression that after a time they needed replacing, I'm probally wrong/unsure about this. If I change the steering wheel and remove the airbag does this make the passenger airbag unopperational and does it affect the insurance not having airbags.
  17. Lee, thanks for your vote, makes me feel much better knowing what you think. By the way you look remarkabley like Quincy in that photo you took of yourself
  18. Lee you aint posted for awhile so I will Lots of pages of nice big chests http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj107/gimmetitties/Big%20Boobs/
  19. Look what I've gone and done today, it may sicken you cause it sickens me. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d13/bulldogstaffy/DSCN60494850.jpg Driving along a road new to me 70 miles from home with my 4 year old daughter Izzy. Izzy dropped her fruit shoot drink with top open between front seat and gear tunnel, sticky juice on the leather recaros and center consel and me trying to drive around a corner and get the jammed bottle out quickly. Result = D90 meets kerb, stretch tyre and no rim protection, Now 1 f**cked wheel, it's also cracked but holds air in the tyre, no damage to tyre. What a T
  20. Try looking on Mytyres.com and compare the tyres, theres not a lot in it according to them, and as they are very cheap they're worth a go.
  21. Thanks for your input, the Toyos I was getting at a good price werent the T1R tyres you recomended, I got 245/40x18 falkens on my works van and they do last and grip well, but thats on a van. The Toyos I can get at a good price dont rate well to the ones everybody recommended, so I've gone with the Yokohama Parada, main reasons are price (getting them £31 a piece cheaper than the Mytyres prices) and have been comparing the Yokohama Paradas, T1R and PX4 tyres, the best grip is with the Yokohama Parada and an equall wear rate to the T1R tyres, so thought I'd give them a try. Cheers all.
  22. Mines metallic black and IMO the best colour, thats why I looked for my second metallic black VR6 and bought it.
