  6. i recognise that car!! but then you did get it from locally to me! i worked in Great Malvern till recently. looking good jk!! nice car you got there, will be good to see what you do with it if the vr was anything to go by!
  7. can't believe you've sold it!
  8. that is really not good. kinda looks like a saxo too.
  9. I'm running H&R's too, 35mm and 40mm on my vr6 used daily and had no problems to speak of!
  10. i was just gonna say can you add me please, then realised the date, it chashes with Global Gathering! doh! so will have to find out whats happening with that first. i like castle combe days too, so may have to try and fit both things in!
  11. as everyone else has said, the new lights look much better!
  12. looks really good does that, and loving the wheels as everyone else has said! will have to have a look around it at BVF!
  13. how did you get on with the 1/4 mile at inters claire? jerry perform ok?
  14. so its thanks to sam you've got it then? lol! was planning on coming down for july tidy as iv not been down in aaaaaages!! but the clutch is slipping on the golf, so depending on how that is nearer the time (a long trip to bournemouth probably not being too wise) and when it can be done at stealth depends on if i come down i guess!
  15. looking good richie! didnt know you had a thing for mk1's! and the d90's do look very good on it!
  16. tell me about it! £55 for first plot, and £50 each after, and rubbadubz are having a huge plot with it being our local show so its costing loads!! So to avoid anyone's disapointment and not displaying, We still have spaces on the Rubbadubz display so if there is anyone on here that wants to join us to show off your car and camp then either pm me or check out the forum, www.rubbadubz.co.uk for more details and get your name down asap. think they are charging a few quid for the privelidge though to recoup the huge cost involved, but will also be providing a bbq in that price on the sat night.
  17. think its £55 for a club display and camping plot claire.
  18. can i be added to the list please. supposed to be running the car at stealth on sunday, but dont think thats gonna happen with my dodgy clutch now. boo!
  19. so sounds like i wont be putting the car on the rolling road at stealth next week then if the clutch is on its way out! great! cheers for the help guys i had no idea thats what it would be as im not mechanically minded in the slightest really.
  20. yep, what everyone else said, the claybar is good stuff! i normally use that and then go over the car with techwax and it comes up really well, the paints really smooth and shiny. Have the intention of using another wax to finish it off but my arms can't be bothered by that point!
  21. well, i was supposed to be going for the whole weekend. ended up camping friday night and going to the show yesterday, then packed up and came home as thought it was crap tbh. the weather was rubbish, but the show was pretty crap too in my opinion, not many traders, not many club displays/show cars and not many people there either, the car park wasn't very busy at all. so next year, i will mostly just be going for the sunday i think! bring on BVF in a couple of weeks!
  22. yeh, its completely fine from standing and when changing gears, its just when you plant your foot without altering your gear mid way through the revs that it does it, so i wouldnt have thought that would be the clutch, but then im not that good at mechanical type stuff really i've never tried pulling away in a gear higher than 2nd though. is that a telling way of if a clutch is going then, if i were to try and pull off in 4th/5th??
  23. Heya, not been on here in a little while, sorry about that! Got a bit of a quesiton to ask........... Bit of a strange one this, and wondering if its just my car as i've not noticed other vr6's do it in the past. Driving along normally, say sat in 4th at 50 for example, and you put your foot down and it has a sort of kickdown as an automatic would have. It goes up a couple of hundred revs, hearing a the change in the engine note and see the needle on the rev limiter, and then drops back and picks up again. Very strange! and it does it in most gears. Its alright when your just going from stand
