    hey everyone.. ive been looking for a nice battery cover to neaten up my engine bay and have found a new company who can supply me with what im after. a battery cover that i can get at a good price, and even better if i get a good enuf come back for a group buy. the supplier says he can do all these, in carbon, mirror finish (as shown in picture, although not very well), and a check plate. these are made of stainless steel, and matching door sills are available. they can mix and match.. im havin vr6 in the bottom left and vw in the top right. if your model is not shown, 99% of the time it can

    Call me chav if you like, but i have a Richbrooke billet aluminium gear knob, its got a 5 stud patern on the top, with the gear box layout on a small circle in the centre. dead plain, silver (looks like brushed aluminium) and its a bout and inch lower than my standard vr6 one. feels dead solid in your hand and my gearbox felt different! kind of acts a cheap form of a quickshift, as well i guess as it is smaller. its a really small thing (size of a golf ball max) P.S. I AM NOT CHAV SCUM THANKYOU PLEASE

    hmmm that reminds me, wen i did my samco kit, it rained and got a bit on the engine,, wen i started it up, one of the plugs was like clicking, and u cud see a spark. turned it off, wiped the end of the lead, and put sum wd40 on it and that fixed it fine.. may worth a shot at that... if not how much is a coil pack??

    Recently weve hadd loads of rain and shitty weather. wen ive started it up it sounds like it is drowning itself, the car kind of shakes ( in time with the chugging on the engine ) and wen you have pulled off it is ok but then you keep getting the noise back for a second or 2, and a loss of power, then it kicks back in a gain to normal.... wen it gets to normal operating temperature its ok. it did it the other day when i had my wipers maxed out, i was behind a huge lorry and there was so much spray i couldnt see a great difference ahead, it started doing the noise for 1 - 2 seconds and loosing

    ive seen a few of em on vr's, my plastic cover has this on it : VR6 2.8 DOHC VW Im after a chrome one, and if possible (which i havnt seen b4..) a chrome one with the above letterin in it or somthing similar. anyone seen em about or know wher i can get em from? also where do i go to get my inlet manifold polished chrom, or how do i do it my self?!!! cheers peeps Jay

    Ayup peeps.. whilst sat on my arse, missing inters coz of my dislocated shoulder.. i did much pondering about striping the beast out. at the moment i have a normal interior and i have upgraded the sound system, 2 heavy ass subs and a mdf box, 6x9's door speakers, head unit, components. should i strip it all out and take the back seats out, and have a pair of light weight bucket seats in the front, and at a later stage have a cage installed. take the door cards off and replace with some sheet aluminium replacements??? or leave it as it is??!! WHAT DO YA THINK ???

    i had same problem, the window cable had a kink in which caused stress on the motor, and eventualy burnt it out. to resolve i had the door card off ... (dead easy pops on and off) and then undid the window from the lifting arms (2 bolts) placed a peice of wood under the window to keep it up and put in 2 wedges to stop it rattling and possibly falling down again, then got one ordered from a breakers yard for £30 inc vat. took me about 3 hours total from start to finish,

    ive jsut spoke to a bloke from teh gti link that is on teh event info, and he said vr6oc are not booked down for a stand... ?? i was aking how i get on it. he sed you have to buy on teh gates and vr6 oc hae not got a stand set up?? wats goin on, i just wanna get on teh sodding stand nd im gettin teh run around ere!!!
