Hey guys, Ok, i have abit of a dilemma, I have 2 Mulberry VR6 Highlines and not too sure what to do basically. Ill start from the beginning; In 2007 i bought my first highline, 1996 and clean as f**k, only had about 70k miles at the time it came with TT comps, i feel in love with the beast straight away. Then in 2008 i had an accident in it where some idiot pulled out of a give way while i was going down the road, it was a front/passenger side collision not a right off, thankfully. It went to a frends brothers garage to do the work and deal with the insurance claim,

I need some advice fellaz, my cars just gone in to get repaired, some bodywork and a respray.. Im making list of mods, heres my list so far: 1. Roll/stretch/Flare arches about 20-25mm keeping the flat edge. (Im not 100% sure how much too stretch yet, i want enough clearance for 16 x 9's) 2. Smooth swage lines at the rear 3. Remove plinth and make recess smaller (not sure whether to have a button where the plate lights go or solenoid?) 4. Roof Aeriel?? (do i keep it or loose it?? radio signal might be crap?? what about DAB??) 5 Remove rust from under doors, jack points and anywhere else 6. CL

Hello people, I was wondering what options i have if i wanted to either fix/replace the thrust bearings or get a new gearbox fitted???? what is the better option to go for, i have been advised to get a close ratio box, but not sure as not too clued up gearboxes... at the moment i am getting a high pitch squelling when im in gear, iv also been told that if i leave it the gearbox casing will start to get chewed up from the inside... so any help would be wicked and if there is anyone you guys recommend to fix it that would be even better. Thanks H

cams, exhaust, induction kit and then a remap....?????
TaNgOzVR6 replied to TaNgOzVR6's topic in Engine Tuning
thanks for all the replys guys.. my vr is completely standard at the moment except for the 6 branch raceland manifold. Iv had the chains and tensioners and gaskets done at 89000 mies and now the car is on 92000. i didnt get the tappets/hydralic lifters though so the car is a little tappety.. How would the car run with 248s without a charger?, as id be driving around without a chrarger for a little while, also if i fit 263s now would it be ok to use with the charger leter?? Thanks again.. -
Hello people.. i have a standard vr6 highline witth a raceland 6 branch onit, i am planning on getting a 3 piece jetex exhaust (oval 85 x 120 i think), im thinking some 268 schrick cams, replace the hydrauclic lifters/tappets, fit a BMC CDA induction kit then get the beast remapped. I plan to supercharge it in the future aswell. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of power increase i would be looking at?? and if there is any tweeks that can be made to get the most gains from the above plans?? Thanks

cheers fellaz, i thought BMC's were specific to certain cars as when you go to buy one you need to choose the car to fit it to. -
Pipercross VIS kit recommended over a BMC... im confused..
TaNgOzVR6 posted a topic in Engine Tuning
Morning fellaz, The other day i went to AMD Teknic in essex to get my engine checked out as it wasnt sounding very healthy, while i was there i thought id look into getting an exhaust and and induction kit as i have a 6 branch raceland fitted already, when it came to what induction kit i wanted they recommended the Pipercross VIS kit as opposed to the BMC induction kits?!?! iv always thought that the BMC was the best induction kit you can get for a VR6.. Iv been reading all the posts on induction kits and noone mentions the VIS kits, so has anyone had any experience with this type induction -
