HIC sorted me out ok, I was paying 700 FC on my vr6 with mods at 22.

I had that happen in my passat, came upto a smallish round about in the wet, turned in and lifted off a little too much. Next thing the back has swung out and needed a lot of counter steer to bring it back. Its a weird roundabout its got a small painted center but its gots 2 lanes , I ended up sideways over both lanes, lucky for me nobody was following me and i was going slowly enough to steer out of it and striaghten up. Never had the backend on the golf come out, might be the wide tyres on the back and the fact that the car just loves to understeer.

Mine idles at about 750ish when its warm but it bounces up and down a bit with the cams. If its cold it sits at about 1200 rpm.

Yeah, I'm 22 with 5yrs ncb, clean lisence and mine was £720 FC Thats limited to 10k with a CAT 1, but also has my alloys, suspension, cosmetic bits, braces etc etc all declaired.

Took mine off a few weeks back, its got little clips, altho i just pulled mine and they all sprang out. No adverse effects only thing i can say is that it makes the induction noise a little louder, but then thats what its all about so who cares.
-
I fitted my rears and will be fitting my fronts when they get here, Took mine to MichelDever Tyres and it cost me about £50 to get the camber and aligment and so on done.

If you do take the leather out can i put bids on some of it. I need at least the drivers seat, mine is looking a little worse for ware. Are you just changing the front seats or the whole lot? I need a new set of 5dr rear door cards in mulberry, as well as the drivers seat. altho tbh i will probably be looking at getting a whole interia and swapping the bits i want over.

Whats that about 36mpg? I get about 25-27 in the VR these days and thats working it out by hand when i fill up. Acording to the trip computer my rumble to work yesterday saw 31, but then i was almost on fumes and was skint so it was a very light footed drive.

Got home last night and i thought i would just have a quick check make sure all the pipes where still done up. I changed my intake manifold at the weekend and checked all the fluids etc. All the pipes and bolts where as they should be, but i could see a damp patch on the righthand side of the engine block. Further investergation leeds me to find water dripping out of the aux water pump. Filled it back up and left it over night and it had drained the whole header tank and the top tubes. filled it up again and took it carefull to work this morning. I have a large jack full of water in the back

I run 9j borbet A's on the back of my my3. I am running a 215/35 tyre at ET15 on the back and it NEEDED the arches rolling at stock hight. Got some koni's on now with the arches rolled and pulled slightly (Thanks again ArchEnemy) and i still need to slam it more and i dont get any rubbing. i think we messured it and i had gained over 20mm of clearence just from rolling them. As soon as i have the new sus on and the car down nice and low i will start posting pics up.

Arg mine run a lot softer than that. I really should keep them pumped up more. is it just mine or do streched tyres run low quicker. I pump mine upto like 35psi and they are all back down to about 15-18 within 2 weeks. Found that out the painfull way the other week in the floods, came though what i thought was just a puddle then crash it appears there was a big pothole hiding in the puddle and now i have a slighty flatter edge on one of my borbets :~( You can only see it if i park and the ding is at the top and you are looking down on the wheel but it pisssssed me off no end. -
I have one that looks almost identical to kalv's, I am currently painting it back as i got it 2nd hand and it was all scratched and wasnt polished. Hopefully it will make cornering a little more solid. On a silghtly off topic note, does anyone have a lower brace fitted on the front of there vr. I have one that bolts between the insides of the wishbones. How much should this effect the handling? Edit - Typo

Mulberry all the way, i need to get my engine bay clean up underway. Then i can sort out the pollished manifold and mulberry engine center cover.

Its getting to the time that the VR needs some new plugs, i was just wondering if there are any makes that are recomended or anything that people would turn away from. I am running a 2.8 obd2 vr6 with 268 cams and 4 bar fuel reg. Also i am thnking about getting new leads at the same time what is the differnece between big fat single cores and things like the twin core leads like these: http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?id=120714 ?

Yeah saying that my vr is running over 200bhp so his must have been slightly modified to have been pulling away at the top end, given all the power is at the top end of mine when it gets up on cam, Thinking of fitting that other intake manafold this weekend dan, Also i am either going to paint the upper strut brace to match or pollish it up i have not decided yet. might wait till i get the manifold on and then see what it looks like,
