    so how wide is a fair compromise also i have a set of audi a6 (7 wide) alloys but im concerned bout fitment after pcd adaptors

    hi ppl i'm gonna order some banded steels so any ideas how wide i can go but keepping MOT worthy ( no wheel poking out of the arches) thx in advance

    sweet the ET is 45 Rim width 7J and i can get any size pcd adapters 20/25/30 mm thanks for any help

    hello guys if i put the et(offset) thickness of pcd adaptors and rim width can any 1 tell me if a set of audi a6 alloys will fit my golf. i'm a little confused lol

    thanks lads dint wanna fork out fork them and find out they dint fit so with a ET of 25 will they stick out of my arches ?

    nope thats the ET stamped on the rims do it add the thickness of adaptors to "45" or subtract?

    It twists on my 1994 obd1 i seem to remember when buying pads there are 2 diff types of caliper (mine have lockheed stamped on them) i dint buy the wind back tool either. 1. put the caliper in a vice 2. use a pipe wrench to turn the piston take ure time and dont touch the rubber with the teeth on the wrench (brake fluid in the discs cant be good) ONLY GRAB THE DIRTY OUTSIDE PART OF THE PISTON, NOT THE CLEAN PART THAT SLIDES PAST THE O-RING IN THE CALIPER

    they are 15 inch, 7inch wide i used the offset calculator in this forum and it says 8mm closer to the strut but smallest pcd adaptors i can find are 15mm and biggest are 35mm

    has any 1 got wheels with an offset of 45 fitted to their golf using pcd adaptors? dont no if my new alloys will fit :-( thanks in advance

    ebay item 250499005211 i won a set last nite wen i logged on to ebay, searched vw alloys, and they popped up 1st in the list with 11seconds left !!!! £30 bargain theyre 5x112 so i need sum adaptors just wondered if any1 had them fitted so i could see them

    any1 got these on a mk3 golf? theyre 15 inch 7 inch wide 8 spoke with centre caps i have a pic but wont up load for sum reason i'll try again

    me again (ive asked loadsa questions this week) rite searched mk3 golf in google images and loads with porsche, merc, audi, bentley, seat, etc etc alloys fitted, so my question is: what other makes of alloys fit a vr without adaptors or do they all need adaptors? thanks in advance

    LOL more complicated than i fort wots ET and i'm totally standard highline at the moment. if i buy wheels now will that stop me from lowering later on?

    ive just bought 4 spacesaver steel wheels and gonna send them to http://www.bandedsteels.co.uk/ (look for the estate with ghostbusters on door) but 1st i'd like to know how wide i can go before they start to rub when steering? any1 got wheels from "banded steels?"

    161000 but i have another vr6 on the drive thats mechanically sound just a rust bucket so gona rebuild engine and fit that to the highline. i'll put pics up when i can be arsed to drag the camera out

    hello guys ive just bought a '95 highline to replace my rusty '94 vr on the drive as i now have 2 of every part i was considering cuttin my springs .....any1 done it? i did it years ago on a 1.0 NOVA MERRIT :S PMSL but cant remember much bout it.

    hello will a 4motion gearbox fit a vr6 lump? if so wot benifits if any would i get?

    its black needs a handbrake gator and a steering wheel (fancy 1 of those momo jobies) it has drilled and groved discs red calipers really shit vw alloys gooner steve : i aint lived in norfolk for ages changed it in my profile but cant change it when i post for sum reason

    hello guys ive just picked up my 2nd vr6 only this 1 is a highline won on ebay lastnite (£850) really clean and RUST FREE not even any under the rear number plate pics added tomorrow.. any suggestions for 1st mods?
