  1. I ended up getting my original pump/ecu repaired by bba reman, they completley repaired it and now my ABS works perfectly! it would of cost £100, but they made a mistake, (bent a pin) and told me it was complety dead and sent it back to me for free! anyway my abs now works perfectly!
  2. hi, ill check tomorrow for the details on the pump, But yes the part number i added was from the ecu (this is the bit that normally fails!) drop me a PM with you details and we can go from there! Kind Regards Nick
  3. you can have it for what i payed for it! £30 +P&P i was told it was working, and it is from a 97 manual VR6, i did plug it into mine, but it said it was increctly coded, and in then end i sent my old unit to BBA. the part number is 907 379 E if that helps!
  4. right, nearly there on fixing the highline i brought a couple of weeks ago, final thing (i hope) is the steering rack, i have managed to remove all the bolts pipe etc, but i cant remove the captive bolts from the subframe. is there a way of getting these out, or do i need to drop the whole subframe? Kind Regards nick
  5. sounds like a sensor problem, get the fault codes read. i had a problem with the ABS ECU, this showed up as a right rear sensor problem, and a 'pump out of tollerence' there is a place called BBA reman that fixed my ecu (actually did it for free but that is a different story!) if anyone is interested i have a spare abs pump/ecu if anyone needs it. Kind Regards Nick
  6. Thanks guys, i have replaced both the engine mounts, and the gearbox mount, but i have been trying to fix the ABS pump, so have not actually been able to try it, but the gearbox mount that i took off was pretty nackered, so fingures crossed!!
  7. Hi, i am nearly there with fixing all the problems with my car! last one was to sort the abs pump. i found a replacement part number 907 379 E, my original unit was part number 907 379 A. i added the new unit into the car, and used VAG COM to copy accross the code information from the old one to the new one, but the ABS light is still on. the only fault code comming up is 'cot coded to car' is there something else i need to do? or do i have to find the exact part number?
  8. I had been reading through some old posts on the forum, and was thinking it may be the engine mounts, i shall change them over and see if that makes any difference! Kind Regards Nick
  9. Thanks guys, the garage have replaced the front wishbones and sorted the abs, but i am still getting the terrible vibration above 60. I have taken it to Marlow VW (Specialist) and they can see nothing wrong with it! does anyone have any other idea's? Kind Regards Nick
  10. Hi, i have just brought a vr6 highline, which had an MOT yesterday (by the garage i brought it from) when i go above 60mph i get a large amount of vibration, making it impossible to go above 85mph. this vibration only seems to happen when accelarating, if you coast it nearly disapears. the car is an auto if that makes any difference. Has anyone had a similar problem? i have checked the tyre pressures, and spoken to ATS tyres, who drove the car, and whislt they think the tracking may be slightly out, it does not sound like a balance issue. they noted that the steering seemed very notchy, it is
