Hi, my water has been leaking badly out of the exspansion tank, did a sniff test and basicly needed a new head gasket, so changed that and the water pump, thermo stat is new but its still leaking throu the exspansion tank but not as bad, ive read it could be the seal on the exspansion tank but the pipes are pressurerizing,(are they pressurerizing too much? if so what would cause this ?) would this not be possible if the seal was faulty? if its not the seal what other problem could it be? plz any advice would be very helpful..

Ive had this prob for quite some time, water is leaking for the exspansion hole on the side, the water pump is fine the thermostat is new, im almost having to fill the tank up every day now :/ no water in the oil, the water is very rusty colour even with the daily top ups its still very rusty water, the aux pump is making a terrible sound so ive got a replacement and will fit in the next few days. Just wondered if anyone has had the same prob and found a solution? Cheers

Hi, been having some probs with water being pushed out of the exspansion tank, so just had the thermostat replaced, now its running at 70c, the main bottom pipe is stone cold after a 20 mile drive top one is hot and lots of pressure in the pipes it seems too, this looking like a new water pump ? Cheers

Was driving home this evening in a big tail of traffic along the Fakenham - Norwich road, being bored as i was, i flicked through my mfa and at the time i was getting 37.6 mpg, my eyes nearly popped out so that was my mission amongst the heavy traffic and boredom, lets try and hit 38 mpg, here is a pic what i managed Pic

No Tabs are holding the cage in, checked them when i had a look at removing the unit. All i need to is, is it worth keeping the unit and cage? its from an early vr6 and the unit number is CQ-D50FNV if its not worth keeping or selling then ill rip it out myself Cheers
-
but is it worth the hassle just to save the original head unit?
-
I'm looking to replace the original head unit in my car but noticed the car is fixed with a small bolt at the back, ive no idea how to get the cage out as the bolt is screwed in from the other side, what do i need to do to get the cage free as i don't want to ruin it as i may keep the head unit or may sell it with the original booklet but i shall see but any advice on getting it out would be great Many Thanks

450 miles on £60, had a nice little trip to north Yorkshire via Leicester from Norfolk and driving about to see family as well as a few sites, it was the same weekend as harewood house event but had no time to come to the event *crys* average speed hmm i wont say hehe but its not the usual speed but an enjoyable one while the missus was asleep and i was very surprised i put £30 in her in Norwich and £30 just before i left to come back was expecting to put at lest £100 in her, both times i used the same petrol company..
