  1. Why dont you see how it goes first, otherwise you may change things that dont need it. Just simply having the engine in the correct position may be enough to remedy your driveability issues. Maybe the mount was moving when you engage your clutch, which would effect the initial take off causing the juddering.......just a thought......... :-p
  2. I take it you've tried the obvious and traced and checked the wiring as far back as you can?......the wiring can be checked with a voltmeter at the first connection back from the sensor, if you google lambda sensor it will tell you which wire is what.................maybe a good place to start................ :-p
  3. Na a lovely big spud right up the exhaust pipe.........vroom, vroom.......BANG!......... :-p
  4. There you go then you have a prime suspect.................. :-#
  5. Guilt is a terrible thing........Looks like its dodgy wiring then nige, i was in cambridgeshire today and had quite a heavy duty storm going on, i thought pity the poor bugger who gets caught in this............Oh and thanks again for your help the other day nige, you are without doubt a superstar............Im sorry but i had to laugh at what you just said, "im still moving the stalk"....................
  6. I would go to court as you say and plead your case, as far as i was aware unless you can prove it was on private land then looks like you'll be fined. The onus is on you to prove it. Mitigation is the way to go, just be very apologetic and say it wont happen again, and point out like you say it was a genuine mistake. I wouldnt bank on the fact that just being a private space is your way out, the DVLA iirc are quite specific in what they call "off the road" Private land is one thing but a private parking space is something else.......... :S
  7. Have a quick look on the corrado forum Jim, every bloody Rado seems to be turbo or super charged..........
  8. They were the last time i looked (many years ago !) From what ive read on the corrado forum the indicators go through this relay and fuse but the hazards dont as you've described. Most people either say its this relay, a fuse, or a dodgy connection...........i use many hand signals...................none of them are in the highway code............. :-p
  9. It depends what original wheels you had on the car regarding speedo/tyre size i use this one to check wheel size........ http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/tires.html...............sorry i didnt read your first post properly....doh..!!............. :S
  10. On my Rado the relay is number 21 on the top right of the fuse box, have you checked the fuse i think mines no 17......i know its a stupid question nige, but someone had to ask it.....................the corrado iirc is the same as the mk2 golf so no help.......................... :-p
  11. That is just going to put everyone off putting their photo's up....................... :-p
  12. Why dont you hold the unit while driving the car forward, in essence removing the car from the back of the head unit.......................... :-#
  13. Yea i was correct with my price just checked my receipts, what i meant was that the original ones have lasted for years and i wouldnt want to keep changing bushes if they dont last as long (poly's).Because everytime your paying for fitting so in the long run you may be worse off, that said i have no experience of poly's so dont know about longevity........... ^o)
  14. Yea it does but if the car had a cat then surely the car has been designed with a cat in mind and it would be very difficult to get the car through the emissions without one, i suppose a car without a cat they didnt much care what emissions came out as long as the mixture was correct.............dont think that made much sense either............. 8-)
  15. Just had mine done i got the beam off myself and it cost me £30 to get them replaced the oe bushes are £36 each iirc.................new oe ones are going to be far better than knackered oe ones, just think how long the original ones lasted for ?......... :-p
  16. Pm sent nige. Have you investigated further vrclaire? Come on dont keep us in suspenders................. :-p Apparently what you do to diagnose a faulty abs pump is to start your car with your foot on the brake and the pedal should drop down then push up again and then go hard......... :-#
  17. Yea super quick now Ben well done Pete.....................

Her you go been driving now 20 years, sorry it goes on a bit and in no order ; Datsun Cherry 120y 2 x Mk1 Golfs Cortina Crusader Escort Van 2 x mk3 Granada's Daihatsu Charment Cavalier 1.6 Rover Vittesse sport Peugeot 205 gti 1.9 Mk3 escort Fiat Panda (oh dear) Honda Accord (1982) Vectra Renault 4 tl van Audi 80 Calibra (my current run around) Vw Corrado VR6......nearly forgot Its a bit embarrassing really i think ive forgotten a few i reckon i had over 30 cars.........im getting old............. :-p
  19. I got some sticky pads from halfrauds had to ask at the parts bit as their not on show only cost a couple of quid, they are specifically for number plates...............they are good mine havent fallen off yet........................ :-p
  20. Too true mate, it was my adblock on firefox which was the main culprit i was waiting 20-30 seconds for a page to change which is aaaaaaaaages........................... :-#
