My highline has black plastic covers with vr6 written on it. It might have been a option??????
-
Mine started doing that about 3 months ago. The biting piont feels like it's about 1cm away from the top end, i was worried and thought i should get the clutch replaced but i didn't have the monies on me. It's been fine for 3 months but it has just started to slip every now and then. I know the standard clutch is a good one, but would a performance clutch last longer?

How much do you think it will be if it does get produced? would it be audi R8 money or Lambo money? See this is why i love VW, the design of their cars is top notch. Every line flows into the next, very smooooooooth. And your right about the lambo thing CPmatt. VW are building better lambos then lamborghini ever did.

Jezza Clarkson drove it on top gear about 2-3 months ago. Should be a clip on the net somewhere. It's just the ultimate golf, I love the wide bumpers. only thing is it doesn't like the twisty stuff, but it's like s**t off a shovel in a straight line.

Is it coming from behind the airfilter? mines doing that at the moment, and i was told it was the EVAP solinoid (what ever that is?????)

I think thats Ali's from the westside crew in west london. That car has to be my all time fav VR. I never ever saw a VR just the way i liked it, untill this beast came along. Fubmeister is selling a purple highline with deep dishs for £5.500 in the cars for sale section.

Get a flat head srcew driver, neel down by the front bumper. If you look in the gap between the bottom of the grill and the top of the bumper you should see some clips (vertically inline with the middle of the headlight). Stick the screwdriver in and pop the clip. I think there is two clips under the headlights and the middle part of the grill just lifts up and out after you undo the two clips. Don't know about the condensation, but i've got the same problem with one of my rear m3 lights. It's abit wierd cause the other one is alright. Mite be because the light is not bolted in tight enough or

Getting hold of alarm installation certificate
Mackenzie replied to Marky's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
i had the same problem with my last golf. What i did was locate my nearest clifford alarm fitter and asked him if he could give me a certificate for it. He said bring the car down to him so he could check it over, which i did, took about 15 mins and i paid him £20 or £25 (can't remember) and he gave me the certificate, which i needed to bring my insurance down. Hope that helps. -
yeah sorry to hear that, i hate my girlfriend driving my vr, but she loves it, as you can tell from my picture. At least she ain't hurt, thats the main thing. Is the car a write off then?
-
actually , i changed my mind , the first pic looks better all round , the second one looks abit barry boy racer.
-
I think the second pic looks better, but keep the grill black.

I think euro car parts do them for about 40p each, or you could just go down the scappy and fill your pockets.

I would love to own that. The perfect car for me. A black 2.9 vr6 syncro. AAAHHHHHHHHHRRRR. ME WANT !!!

Yeah it is real, i think. There was this other site that i see with secret pics taken from a vw internal show for employees showing a white mk5 golf. It wasn't the R36, but it had the same front bumper on it which they said the R36 would have. In those pictures on germancarfans, it's got the same bumper.

My dad works for Mclaren racing. He uses CAD. Types it into the computer, and a big 5 axis machine (the size of a small house) cuts bits of racing cars out. It's abit more detailed, but you get the jist.

I asked this question on tuesday, and most people said it was, how to put it, A LOAD OF S**T. I just want to see one working! Someone said on here that this guy put one on his saxo, and the blade broke off, and went in his engine causing damage. I really don't know what to think with these "superchargers", but i don't think i would risk paying that money for a load of s**t that doesn't work.

Samson, whats the name of the place in slough TE, that you got your camber done, and what was the price like?

The rules say: that, the fuel temp test should be done using offical FIA thermometer, which it was. The fuel samples taken from the williams and bmw were 2 - 4c under what it should be (10c under ambient temp), so the FIA have said that there was insufficient evidence to add a penlty, but it is pretty clear to me ,that they used there "offical" thermometer which read 12 - 14c under ambient temp and it is against the rules to be anymore under 10c. Mclaren have got a case to fight in court with.

How much would it be to fit the engine and the custom exhausts, running 2wd? I was just guestermating on fitting the engine. Can't be more than £1500. Could it??? I surpose if i did go down the 24v v6 route, all i would have to do, is get it chipped and stick on a induction kit to get the same sort of power, and as you said theres some info floating about on the 24v conversion, so it should be alot less hassle.
-
Nice one peeps. Do you think he is running the mk3 synco 4wd or just the front wheels driving?
-
Yeah mate, the gearing ain't the same, and it does rev high, but it does sound the same,

Will the R32 engine fit into the mk3 golf? I've seen them in mk2s but never a mk3. I wanted that extra power without having to SC or turbo. Reliability and 240bhp would be nice. I looked through the forms, and someone said that you can pick up a brand new R32 engine for £2500-£3000. I was thinking of getting my vr6 engine rebuilt by stealth for £2700, but if i can get a R32 for £3000 then £500-£800 for fitting, then i'm laughing. Will it fit though????????

I got a xbox last night, put in forza2 , and couldn't belive what my eyes were seeing. A VR6 RADO and a MK2 16v. I started with the rado and it sounded just like the real thing (with no mods), then i added a exhaust and air filter, and now it sounds just like mine......it's so addictive to hear that sound, just like the real thing. Can't wait to take the rado round the ring!!!!!!!. Is this the best kept secret or what. Why didn't anybody tell me about this??

my vr has just started to missfire
Mackenzie replied to darrenseabridge's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Yeah, like 2 pints said. I would change my ignition leads first, and then clean/replace the spark plugs.
