  1. Just had my haldex oil and filter changed... £75.00 inclusive of parts and labour... It was done by "VW Audi Specialist" in Neston, South Wirral... Worth a bit of travelling, bearing in mind I got quoted approx £120.00 on its own, from Liverpool VW. Anyone interested just call Martin, very helpful and can do the job while you wait by appaointment. UNIT 20 VW AUDI SPECIALIST CLAYHILL INDUSTRAIL ESTATE NESTON CH64 3UG 0151 336 6888.

  7. Lucky you, they must have the prices wrong.
  8. Just spoke to Julian at Dyno Demon. They are putting tea, coffee, cold drinks and some butties on. all we need is someone to bring the cakes!
  9. You dont need a towing eye, they have all the straps etc required.
  10. They are the same style but not genuine. The genuine ones are made by Speedline, Cheers for looking.
  11. Does anyone know where, other than a main dealer, I can buy a set of new, genuine Santa Monica alloys. How much should I expect to pay?
  12. Sadly, I am only responsible for polishing it. I bought it just over a year ago, it had spent its whole life in Devon and was restored by the previous owner (Never been welded, only needed one new wing and a glass out respray), oh and it had a complete engine rebuild hence 124bhp. Thanks for the complement Bora boy.

  14. Here's one when I had it on the rollers at Dyno Demon (124.0bhp) and one outside my house. Mod Edit To Resize Pics Moderator edit by: TheGoth
  15. I had my last one on a dyno and pulled 209.5bhp. No mods, just running on Optimax only. standard is 204 if you didn't know!
  16. B. Live the dream. As long as you have somewhere to store it and a trailer for the track days.
  17. My new one has new Avon's on but as I've only done a couple of hundred miles in it I cant comment. I had Avon's on an Audi S3 my Mrs owned, only lasted about 15k on front, very grippy though.
  18. Pass, sound cheap probably wont last long. Keep the original wheels for when you sell the car.
  19. It depends on how long you are keeping the car. The best tyres I have had on my last 4mo were Michellin Pilot Primacy. Fronts lasted 33k and the rears 55k. They are probably the most expensive though, about £85 per corner on the 4mo.
  20. Nice, take it you got them off evil bay re your last comment? Anyone know where the best place is to get a set of new original santa monica's without needing a re morgage?
  21. Thats a good idea. i like bakewell tarts if you've got any!!! It usually takes about 20 minutes or so, per car, so should be at least mid afternoon.
  22. There is a large private car park at the front and a grassed area to the rear of the building, so as long as your jack russels, I mean kinds, are sensible, there should be no problems. Fun starts at 9.30am.
