    Rotrex Mounts

Thanks for the pics mate, but else secures it though? Could you maybe hold it in place on the engine, I get how the tensioner work but where else does it mount? I cant see there being an issue with mounting in the aircon position looking at that bracket.

Didnt know you'd gone rotrex, cheers if you could take a pic, is it 24v or 12v? Ken
  5. Just picked up a spare block and head looking to rebuild it with new valves, oil seals, chains tensioners etc, should I just get my bits from vw or do you guys know any specialist companies with good prices? If you've some stuff that'd help I'd happily buy it off you. Thanks in advance Ken
  6. Wheels transform the car, looks fantastic mate. Ken
  7. Evening Just wondering if any of the Rotrex guys could post a pic of the the brackets or mounts thier cherger bolts onto? Was thinking if you ditched your aircon (or didnt have it) you could mount it in where your aircon pump was originally, would be a much neater install than how rotrex's usually mount up, plus it'd be easier to route boost pipe to a front mount no? What you think? Ken
  8. Mine is doing something similar, popping and the engine seems its about to stall, gets worse with lights or fans on, didnt improve once turned off. Could my lambda be gubbed as the pipe off the pressure reg is blocked off not onto the inlet, caused it to overfuel? Ken
  9. Yeh never thought about it like that, good explanation lol
  10. How about if you were running air, would you be able to run the over axle section as a flat over 3" as opposed to a 3" round? Would the shape make a difference in how much it flowed?
  11. Do you have any issues with the rear axle? Mates 3" system knocked as soon as he was 3 up thats on standard suspension.
  12. When i unclipped the sensor there were no connections in it lol
  13. My sensors didnt actually have any connections, just blocked the pipe goiong to the Inlet and stuck the breather on, never had any problems. Ken
  14. Hope your right mate thats exactly what I wanted to hear!
  15. As above really guys what do each of them control? Ken
  16. If you ran the electric heater could you remove the gubbins behind the scuttle or is that where it mounts? I want to ditch the scuttle not still have heaters.
  17. I ran one for about 6 months but got sick of no heaters. Not sure if I set it up right but i just blocked off that hose, couldn't see anything else you'd connect it to.
  18. Thats the shots I'd seen of it, Doesnt look like it'd get much airflow but dragon motorsport run a similar set-up on thier rx7s.
  19. Not a bad idea Bodge, would it weaken the leg much cutting a big old hole out it?
  20. I had thought of that I was hoping to keep the scuttle as I don't wanna ditch the heater matrix wipers etc. Was thinking inside the scuttle at the drivers side and run a narrow cold air feed through the tops of the wings to it. You got a pic of what you mean on mk2s?
  21. Red one is actually intercooled its between the gearbox and the subframe off the top of my head.
  22. There's about a 2.5" space at the NS of the sump could run a boost pipe from the turbo through there without any clearance issues, unless you were already hitting your sump that is.
  23. Yeh but how would I get it there from behind the block to there without going over the chassis legs? Was gonna run my boost pipes under the sump so dunno how much space there will be there.
