  1. The car is in at the supplying dealers at the mo to have the exhaust refitted as it was blowing at the joints so I can't check to be 100% sure but I'm fairly confident that they're 205/45R16 tyres. If you are interested in some rims yourself check these out: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=143633 These are from the same chap that I bought the Ibiza wheels from and look great. £300 delivered is a fantastic price and they'll be a direct fit to a VR6.
  2. Yep 5-doors is good with the family. I found vr6oc.com after having done the deal on mine but am finding that it is a great site full of useful advise and really nice people. I have been and still am a member of SEATCupra.net which is also a great site (and source of my new wheels) and what got me into forums. Coilovers will have to wait as I paid over the odds for the car. I'm watching a CDA induction kit at the moment on ebay but thanks for the offer of the panel filter anyway. Cheers. M
  3. Just under 2-weeks VR ownership and the first mod (wheels) is done. Deeper front spoiler next. Not sure what to do about the exhaust, stainless tips or full system. Next year probably suspension upgrade as she is quite 'american' at the moment.
  4. They're 6 1/2 J and the offset is 42 on a 100 PCD so they should be a good fit

    Seat repair

What sort of place did you go to for a repair? For that kind of price for both a new bolster and fabric its definately the way I need to go.

    Seat repair

Maybe a dumb question but I am going to ask anyway (have searched the forum but no answers). On my drivers seat, the foam in the base, to the right (the bit that your ass rubs on getting in and out), has collapsed but the cloth itself is in good condition. I'm not looking for a retrim (yet) but wondered if I buy a 2nd had passenger seat in good condition, can I transfer the foam over - just the right hand bit. Assuming I can how much work is involved and what should I look out for so that I make a good job. Thanks.
  7. Well this is my first post outside of the introductions area and I'm looking at improvements to my vr6 before I've even picked it up. What do you think to these wheels. They're 16", have a little bit of a dish at the rim and would be fitted with 205/45 tyres for my green (pearlescent) 5-door.
