    a bit arse from elbow as its back on the road but here is the final hrs of the external build up.............. rear valance panel trimmed and licked....... petrol flappy bit............... was that impressed with my sound deadening material went a bit mental and............. before........... during.............. after............ no vibrating metal here!!!!!!!!! hit the bottom of my hurst with the grider to give me another 20mm clearance.............. rear hatch freshly painted and fitted.............. rear end taking shape!!!!!!!! engine hatch fitted and bumper re aligned.......

    here is my report from fridays graft................ cargo door lock has bugged me for a while as it never worked as smoothly as vw intended!!!!!! old one.......... when i removed it, it exploded into bits........... good old ebay £4 for a genuine minter.............. then back onto insulating the cargo doors with kingspan.............. then on with the plywood door cards............. all my plywood will be fully trimmed just not got time as i want to enjoy the bus this summer with my family!!!!!!! dug out my old high level panel as these were already curved, gave the a wee coat of m

    been hard at it this week when i finish my own work been straight down the bus for some graft!!!!!.............. take one of these............... a few of these............. and as if by magic............ freshly painted striker plates............. all ironmongery fitted............. as above repeat with another 3 doors, the cargo doors were a pain in the rear end.......... when i first hung them there was no clearance up the middle, took a while but got them fitting just nice............not perfect to be honest, dam close though lol!!!!!! that just left me with my rear window hatch,

    cheers dude!!!! its first show will be a private uk sbs meet on 13-15th may down in chedder, sommerset..............an 8hr drive there will test its reliability!!!!! then it will be at the big scottish vw show at the end of may. i will be keeping it low key this year so i can concentrate on building an interior and will hit the big show next year with the boys or my family!!!!! cheers again.................

    good progress this week, the end is in my sights!!!!! picked up my bumpers from the powdercoater, superb job as per.............. jacked up ready for bolting............ and fitted................ was sooooo excited about fitting my hurst i forgot to take mid-progress snaps!!!!! fitted.............. a wee look at how low it sits now........... got a delivery of goods fron C and C........... new hella indicators......... old off........... new german quality og lhd cab mat.......... now onto the inside, wanted all walls insulated so here we go............ then out with the waxoil.

    well i spent monday and tuesday evenings down the buslane doing some bits n bobs.................... oh and went out rippin in the industrial est in the bus with no doors etc, was dam good fun! :ninja: front arches overspray................ wheels off and away to the tyre man to be changed to new wheels............... masked off new paint then blacked out arches with matt rattle can................ and my csp big front disc conversion................. new wheels back on and kaboom, narrowed beam luvin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................... finished off my petrol cap area with another w

    now into the cab zone!!!!!!!............... seats cleaned and fitted.................. wasn't going to refit my rev counter but have to admit it looked quite at home back in place............. lastly i wanted to blackout inside my petrol flap, so mask up and paint............. new petrol seal to.............. new wheels, still not really sure tbh but they'll do till the randars are back in town................. thats all for now dudes................................... will let you know about my engine tomorrow, fingers crossed a fellow dubber friend can work his magic and get the badb

    when i removed the wheels it was time to paint out the white over spray with satin black to give a nice crisp neat finish.................. rear extra toe T2D spring plates............... rear big type 3 brake drum............ all painted out and demasked................ and onto otherside.............

    right back onto today progress............. about a year ago i managed to rescue these wheels from an old spraypainters yard for £40, they were in real bad shape!!!!!!!!! i'm not a big fan of them tbh but the thought of old wheels geeting scrapped makes me ill. i took them to a coater to see if he could make them good and then coat them out in sparkling silver............. no problems to him!!!!!!! got some new rear tyres.............. off with the old randars..........they are going away to get powdered the same white as my bumpers, hurst etc then going back on!!!!!!!!

    thanks for all the positive comments guys, it really helps keep me going!!!!!!!!! been down the buslane since 3pm as i wanted to fire up the powerplant................... sump plug in and tightened, 3lts of fresh oil, 20lts of BP ultimate unleaded and check ignition............... no lights on the dash unless the headlights are on! .................. turned the key and its turning over but not firing up......................i'm ill! before the fuel went in i had visions of me driving it around the yard, not too be!!!!!! thanks again for your posts a very sad man, over n out!:S

    onto the rear lights, all new units, seals and all red usa lenses................ bought in all my door seals etc, not cheap stuff tbh!!!!!!!............ fitted............. lastly managed to build up my gauges, speedo etc..............

    now onto fitting my windows with new seals................. glass cleaned............. seal at the ready.............. seal fitted to glass.................... and boom all fitted to bus................. now the front end build up.................. badge, headlights, fish eyes and wipers........................

    right been putting in some graft on the bus.................. daylight shots.............. straight!!!!!.................... right back to work then, got the cab windows down and stripped them.............. metal frames getting a fresh coat of pearl white soon.............. glass and seals all good......... picked up my white bits from the powdercoater, superb job............
