  1. I usually write a few lines of rubbish but tonight I'll let the photos do the talking....... At Dubshed it's first outing it took the looooosers prize in the rotten old mk3 golf category!!!! Now all that's left to do is my full boot install and new sounds! After that it will be finished and stored away only to be used once in a blue moon!!!! A complete waste of time and money!

  5. Thanks for all the positive comments lads, things are moving along great now! Stews paint is marvelous and Dougie is doing some Trix under the hood! See what I did there?!?! Lol most folk change the front look with vento, mk3.5 lights etc so I though just buy a new set of Hellas and keep it looking oem!!!!! Dougie is just waiting on some wires so he can relocated the battery and washer bottle to the boot then it will be done and transported back to Stew for the build up and final lick with a soft head.......... Del, hope your sewing machine is red hot, I'll be coming real soon?!?!?!
  6. Yup 18's are just too big dude mine are 17' by 7.5 wide and tyres are 195/40/17, very slight stretch nothing to be concerned about tho and I'll lower the coils down to a sensible height so I can still drive the car hard with no rubbing whatsoever! I'm a wee bit old for all the slammed look etc, after all this is a sensible family hatchback I'm building
  7. They are Mille Miglia Cup 3 dude, the reason I opted for them over porsche ones is because they are 5x100 not 5x130 so bolt straight on! I'm not wanting to run adapters incase anything went wrong.
  8. News just in, smooth fresh mulberry has just been laid!..... DAT COLOUR?!?!? lol
  9. Big stew made some progress on my chassis legs today, just a few photos of progress to keep the thread alive?!?! Really want this all built back up ASAP now to get it into the trimmers, it seems years ago that I got the interior trimmed!!!!
  10. Thanks man :-) Headed up to Trixs last night with Gerry and collected the car, it was ready to deliver to Stew for the bay to be done! Dougie has welded in panels so Stew will be smoothing and painting both chassis legs in mulberry! Thanks again guys for making this happen. I have decided I will be going ahead with a small boot install....... The battery, Spare powdercoated wheel, a sub, an amp, jack and tools painted or powdercoated all trimmed with og material so the boot is fully usable for the shopping or camping equipment for family trips away! Lol Not much space in here....... Spare w
  11. Collected the rest of my powdercoated parts and dropped them in at Trix! Again they turned out superb, Adie's work is very good! Doug's is getting it ready to be collected by Gerry on possibly Monday and dropped off at Stews to get the bay smoothed and painted! :-)
  12. Some panels have been made and fitted in the semi-smoothing of engine bay! Heading up to Trixs tomorrow with all the new powdercoated parts!
  13. Ha ha ha superb, "Armageddon" lmao!!!! :-) I'm sure I can arrange some audio once it's all up n running fella?!?! ;-)
  14. Wow, thanks man.........I think it's way off being close to the best mk3 but it should turn out ok for the family hatchback?!?!?! ;-) So with Dougie saving me a few hundred quid by keeping the OG air-con system we decide to buy some new shiney bits to bolt onto the full Milltek system!...... Stainless De-cat pipe....... Stainless 6 branch manifold....... Hopefully this all bolts together freeing some horses and lets the V6 note out?!?! Cheers :-)
  15. So just back from seeing Dougie Trix, we are going to clean up the bay with some smoothing, paint colour coding and powder coating! The car looks like this......... Not the best looking from the front but the rear is looking much better....... I have dropped off all the rest of metal work for the same grey powder coating! I will deliver all this back to Doug's next weekend so he can get it back on the car ready for the transporter back to Bodyshop to get bay painted! Cheers :-)
  16. 33...........Bahahahaha get a grip man, this punk is nearing 41!!!!! Well done my Irish pal, awesome bloke and superb car, see ya real soon ;-)
  17. Cheers, so am I!!! Lol...... While I've been away in Gran Canaria for the last 2 weeks some work has been done on the family hatchback! Big thanks to Gerry for getting the Brembos fitted with custom HEL coloured hoses etc, they really look superb! The car is in at Trix just now getting the bay done, I'm heading out to see him tomorrow so will update with photos after!
