  2. mine arnt msd coil kev , just ls2 yuko coils with built in igitors im told they a very coil and high output coil , but time will tell, other nice thing about them is stock vw ht leads plug straight in ,ill keep u on the go kev hopefully next week

  4. thanks kev ,stilwireing this ecu as yet , no no engine runing as yet lol,regars cams these must be st jobys then as they have cam a an cam b an the with apart number 011.... vw marking something like wr- /gt-1 at en,oh well another arse trying to tell me he ha cams fittelol ( keyboars knacker on pc hernce missing letters )
  5. blooy hellare they common for going faulty kev ?350 i reckon its more fun fitting stanalone with living tuning , but everyone to there own , thanks for the avise kev.... ps regars camshaft upgraes im tol there a set in a engine but they just look st to me , any iea of what/where the letters marking shoul be (keyboar not working right lol)

  7. regards sump r32 sump yes it will fit on the vr6 12/and 24v v6 u just need slightly longer bolts, the sump is deeper and baffled and sits lower , ps both r32/12vr6 oil pumps are the same too, but i pref the old steel ones, , take a bang without cracking

  9. runing ok ,so going to fit the megasquirt ms3x (was cheep thought id try make a downpipe , what a task in a mk1 golf with 6sped transforbox and propshaft plus steering rack in the way lol couple of quick pics im wishing id done a mk2 golf now as there lots of room just need to heat wrap the buggar next when it arrives
  10. Well kev im not up on everything regards tuning .as im still doing plenty of reading what i can take in tbh . Me and my friend tunies .as it seems better to see whats going off on screen .then risking dynos if things arnt set up .something like;) ive just on with building a spare head up with better springs etc but .ive hit a slight problem .as i turn the cam onto its lobe faceing downwards its locking .meaning feels like its hitting the steam seal. Also i measured the amount of valve drop and ill need to machine the pistons too. But ive a idea that might work .im happy with intake temps in bo
  11. Also say im runing 30psi on a stock cam and 30psi on lets say 268 cam .what is the differnce if your engine is still boosting at the same psi.

Hi matt did u replace valve springs as i hear a fair amount say they need to be replaced.(another exspense)bit im confused off is .when i sau which cams .as im thinking if i go from stock to say 268 or 275 im told the head will need a stage 3. .ie valves re skiming and pistons machinceing?little confused tbh as theres that many storys about unless kev might be able to help
  13. so which vr6 camshafts are best for the turbo engine as theres that many types of them , and what profile cam dose what?
  14. thats makes sense , i didnt know that ,as i can tunie the cold warm up enrichments , from cold no idiol valve at 13./14 afr , as as this switchers off , i carnt get a steady reading (rather jumpy) 13 to 15 afr , ive made sure in igtyion timing/fuel/afr maps thats the 4 boxs that it moves in are all the same , i tryed altering the injector pulse from 1.000 to 1.200 (yet show 1.7 on gauge? i carnt lift it mutch more as its too rich to try tunie out , (if u roughly understand what i mean
  15. ok for a bit of fun , regards idiol , dam nightmare when i think is steady then suddernly goes loopy again , from cold its fine and instail start from hot its ok , after around 5,6seconds goes loopy again bloody thing , , maping tuning tunieing rest isnt bad ,tbh kev

  17. well im unsure regard megasquirt , as getting tuning somert like is a pain in the ass tbh , sometimes seems ok then goes haywire , something i never had with stock ecu ,, working on the v8 at mo , so ill get to caddy see if the mat are any better
  18. hiya kev good to hear from you well , lol ,,ive decided to stay with megasquirt , only couple of main issiuss im having is idiol (i did increase to 1.4 as any higher and runs rich , with mnium numbers in the fuel table , second prob was sycro loss , known as reason 2 , which ive sent the unit off as it needs a u7 socket fitting , other then this it run ,, and idioled ok cold just up and down when up to engine temp 75deg , i also noticed ive had mat riseing , so just buzzed a quick box on the intake to see if it helps and fitted a open element intake sensor , for better responce quick pic her
  19. kev just a quicky regards loss of sycro , is ur igintion input capture set to riseing or falling edge? mines set to raiseing edge , woundering if its wrong???
