    i bought and turbo'd my golf for 3000 and got 570 bhp and that was using a brand new gt3582r soi havent cut any corners.

    90 spec are easyer to convert as the fuse box is the same if i remember rightly

    I ran mine at 7psi with the same turbo and it made 300bhp so 11psi 390bhp is about right.

    I think he means 8.7 as in a 8.5 spacer with later style 3 layer head gasket, in witch case i run 24psi ok on that set up.

    Ive never had any traction issues with decent tyres on an n/a vr6. like garry said 4wd is ok till you get to 80 then 2wd says bye bye.

    If they look alright why waste money. if you must change buy vw only ive had problems with pattern ones in the past.

    if you buy the prober vw one £199 no problems and 2 year gaurantee i run 570bhp standard coilpack

    if your going turbo your going to need a decent clutch so for the whole conversion ide put away at least £1500

    same happend to mine sh*t myself. mine was within 3" of the brake servo totaly melted closed.
