    ive just converted a 2.8 obd2 to 2.9 block + head it runnes fine but i made the mistake of putting cams in at the same time so i dont no wether it isnt idling because of the cams or the fact its running a 2.8 fuel map,ignition etc.....

    Ive not long had drc 268 cams fitted and it idles at 500-550 rpm where as before it idled at 900 is that normal till i get it remapped.

    what sort of power do they fetch with throttle bodys.

    i was told only the resonated is avalible for the golf vr6 dont think i would have got non resonated any way would of hated to pay all that money and it be loud.

    ive just fitted a milltek to my car done 50 miles on it and it just sounds like standard i went for the resonated systm which means it has a centre section and a back box.im shure they do a none resonated with just a back box i can imagine that being quite loud.milltek say that there exausts dont drone or bore like cheaper exhausts u should try giving them a ring am shure they come with a lifetime warenty not certain tho.

    yeah but ive used my 2.8 manafold throttlebody and wiring loom so shurley now than means its obd2.or am i wrong?

    orite this is my problem i have a 1997 golf mk3 vr6 engine code AAA and just lest week the bottom end went and my crankshaft went through my block.so i contacted a friend who had a corrado 2.9 engine for sale with 110,000 on the clock.so before fitting i had the cam chaines and tensioners changed for brand new ones and had my daughty 268 cams fitted.upon fitting the engine i realised i dident have a 2.9 inlet manifold so th 2.9 throttle body would not fit.so a put my 2.8 engine harness on the 2.9 to overcome the throttle body plugs been different.upion starting it it fires up fine then cuts ou
