Il prob give stealth a call then see if they can give me a price because if they would only charge 2.5k to fit it and get it running plus the price of an engine i dont think its to bad a price for the fun ul have, thanks alot guys for your advice

Hi guys and girls need some advice from the wise vdubbers, my oil pump decided to stop working and as a result took out the lower half of the engine, the engine has done 145,000 miles so was gona rebuild and charge it but if it doesn't cost much more to swap over to an r32 engine would prefer to do that, an ideas how much this would set me back? the car is a 97 vr6, any other ideas ? All advice welcome thanks for your help. Leon

were abouts did you get it from? il prob have to get a cheap run about anyway so if i can get an engine il be well happy

was talking to the rac bloke about it cause they towed it home 4 me and he said it sounds like the crank bearings but cause the oil pump went that most of the other components will need changing shortly aswell cause of the damage they would have taken,its not the end of the world got the reason to have a rebuild now

Was given the worst outcome to day need a new engine not 100%sure wat is wrong but he said its not fixable so bit annoyed nnot sure wat to do

They think i may have a brocken tappet, stripin the top half over weekend, il post any more updates

garage phoned and said that the oil pump had gone and that they have got to do a pressure test on it il put up any more info i get

Engine has just started knocking and in garage at the moment, at the moment the choices are if the damage isnt to bad repair but should i just get a rebuild or a new engine? will post up wat they find out is wrong when i find out but thought id ask advice cause not sure wat to do at all
