Hi buddy just checked the readings in mvb 32 after a good drive and are as follows On idle bank 1 short term -3.12 to 4.69 fluctuating Long term 0.78 fixed Bank 2 short term -3.12 to 3.12 fluctuating Long term 0 fixed At 3000 rpm at stand still Bank 1 short term 0.78 to 4.61 Long term 0.78 fixed Bank 2 short term -3.12 to 0 Long term 0 fixed All figures show as percentages. Any light shed on these figures would be appreciated thanks

On idle or whilst driving? Strangely enough it only lets me read data through basic settings I'm using launch x431 master with the latest update

Hi guys as titled I have a 02 4 motion in which started off as a small hesitation at low rpm and now has no low down power at all, no fault codes at all apart from one in the abs controller which just said ecm connector. After spending weeks on it I'm now stumped. Ive checked absolutely everything in mvb's and all readings are good, there are no air leaks and the cats are in perfect condition albeit white and a bit too clean which would suggest a lean mixture. All ignition coils, fuel filter and air flow meter are new. The car starts and runs perfectly with no misfires. Any help would be appre

hi guys, my obd1 vr6 estate is way down on power and uses huge amounts of fuel. i did the conversion in october last year and then ran it for about 4 months until it became a heavy smoker so engine out and renewed: rings, big ends, mains, lined 2 cylinders due to heavy scoring, valve guides, head and block reface, all chains and guides renewed, rear knock sensor, genune coolant temp sensor, gsf coil pack, genuine leads and bosch platinum plugs. so after running it in recently it now struggles to move under load from cold and hesitates at various rpm when hot and feels to bog down between gear

Sounds like the pressure relief valve has gone in the cap, cheap as chips from GSF

Idle Issues - VAG-COM Fault Code enclosed..
DMARK replied to VR6Pete's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Hi folks, just a quick one to say the temp sensor has worked a treat, no more embarrasing moments at junctions and a little better on juice too -
hi, the easiest way to tell is turn on you're ignition on then off again and the pump should run for about ten mins, within that time have a listen at the pump or if the cooling sytem is cold hold the body of it, youshold feel it buzzing. if not check the fuses in the control unit that's under the coolant bottle

Idle Issues - VAG-COM Fault Code enclosed..
DMARK replied to VR6Pete's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
that's why i went for the temp sensor first because it only ran like a sack o spuds when up to temp. it might make me out to be a liar tho as i don't appear to be having much luck solving customers cars problems recently never mind me own :-( -
anyone know where i can get a set of coilovers for a 96 mk3 golf estate?

Idle Issues - VAG-COM Fault Code enclosed..

MINE TOO!!, its been doing it for about a week now and has just got to the point where it is cutting out evry time i come to a stand still, roughly same code as well- 00533 idle air control, adaptation range below minimal level and also 00561 mixture adjustment adaptation range (add) below minimal level. so i put a new coolant temp sensor in before i came home tonight and ran it back through basic settings, everything seemed fine on the way home so i'll let you know tomorrow *-) -
its a fairly easy job if you don't mind being covered in brake fliud. if you are looking to have the old unit repaired try a company called bba-reman, usually costs about £150 plus p&p
-
it could be the ignition starter switch. when turning the key into the crank position wobble the key up and down and it should start if thats your problem
-
if you're windscreen is misting up and you can smell coolant in the cab you're heater matrix is starting to leak. rad weld is only a quick fix/bodge as it tends to clogg the matrix giving you very little flow which is not very good if you don't like the cold. bung a new one in mate they're not bad to do!
