  2. I'll be there. 21 days to go :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm running 30/70. I've installed to aid cooling of internals in my charged VR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 117 E is for abs only, 217 is for abs/edl Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Anybody know if you need tickets into the main shows etc. and roughly how much they are? Me and some friends are hopefully going this year but the Worthersee website isn't too helpful. We found a villa for a week around 10 miles away from the lake for under 400 euros.
  6. I made mine fit behind my bbs. Had to grind a small bit off the edge of the calipers.
  7. Give the fuel lines a bit of a pinch under the bonnet. If the feed line is solid, it's getting fuel but if it's a bit soft, it's not. I did this after being told that a non running car my mate bought had already had it changed. Cost: £3 off ebay for second hand relay. Car now runs.
  8. You can get a new key cut n coded for £30 if you have a working key.
  9. Have a look on the Ross-tech wiki for that code. Might point you in the right direction
  10. Your eBay cable is no good for the software you have. You need a really old version, either 3.11 or 4.09 depending on your cable. Buy a genuine cable, it can pay for itself quickly enough if you can help other people out with it.
  11. The belt that runs the power steering and alternator could well be slipping which would cause your screeching. It could also be any of the bearings. If it's the charger bearings, they can be replaced for about £250 but you can't get the oil seals and I know because I've tried!! After buying and replacing the bearings, I sent my charger off to have it modified for new seals. In the end I part ex'd mine for a brand new one from Robert @ Ruf kompressoren.
  12. Evening all. Which specialist insurance companies can I try for the renewal on my VR? Supercharged, stainless exhaust, etc. putting out 300+ bhp
  13. dead battery or faulty cables close to battery?
  14. Try emailing again. I tried a few times before I got a reply. I also phoned them but the fella was out of the office. I emailed Thursday afternoon and he emailed back the same day.
  15. No, thats from Brammer. I've rebuilt most of it myself with different bearings from another supplier. No where can supply one of the oil seals so rather than messing around, I've sent most of the charger (except snail) to Ruf and they're going to machine me some new bits to make their oil seals fit, make me a new pulley, check the internals over and check the oil seals seal properly. He's emailed me today to say there will be a bit of a delay because they have a few orders to get ready for Worthersee! It's cost me £230 in bearings and £45 to ship it to Germany! Ruf told me they wouldn't
  16. 7003cdga/p4a. Never got an skf part number for the larger bearing but there about £40
  17. Bearings are expensive. Skf ones are £240 each,
  18. Be warned though, they may take a while to get back to you. Sometimes I get a reply within a couple of days, others I dont get a reply at all! I'll let you know if I get my shaft housing back from them though lol. I've rebuilt mine because the bearings started to whine.
  19. yeah there the ones. I've since replaced mine with high tensile hex head bolts and put a blob of copper grease on each of the heads to stop them from corroding.
  20. Can you not adjust the cable under the rear ashtray? Thats how I did mine. 1 click now and its on.
  21. I had a rubber binding noise on mine once and it was the cv boot, wasn't as flexible as it should of been.
  22. Stilsons http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/stillsons/7538571/ The harder you pull on them, the harder they bite. The small ones are small enough to get in because it's a bit tight!!
  23. Fan blower motor is easy enough. It's under the dash in passenger footwell. Sure it's a quick job, just a few screws. Definately not a dash out job. Look for the quite thick wires on the plug n that's the blower
  24. The insides of my zr2 are with ruf kompressoren at the minute in Germany. You can't get seals for them so he's machining mine to make his seals fit. Maybe they can help. hofmann.ruf.kompressoren@googlemail.com That's the fella I'm dealing with
