Awesome, thank you for that. Will have a read through them properly when I get in from work! :-d

Hey guys, first off if this is a massively asked question, I apologise, I had a quick look round and a search, but the search needs 4 characters in it to work... But basically, the shortened down story is I had/ have my VR6 up for sale with the intention of flogging it and buying an S2k/ Z3M Coupe with my dad and sharing it as a track day car.....however, the car went in for its MOT yesterday and its failed on a few things, the most worrying of which, being a crack in the floorpan that needs welding, as well as both sills needing attention, the latter isnt so much a problem as I know they're l

Just a quick snap from the other night's meet at Ace....probably the last pics of it on the CL's, gonna be trying the silver bumpers back on over the weekend and seeing which I prefer!

Nah its fine mate, they came in at £630 direct from the factory. Falkens were about half that again Had a quote of a company called Balance Motorsport who quoted over a grand and a three week wait. Spoke to the factory following a set I missed out on, on ebay, and got a sizeable discount and picked them up the following afternoon. :-d

Added a bit of retro goodness to the car today with some genuine Mattig DTM mirrors....I can now officially see naff all out of them, but I do rather like them Interior is back in bits again, with no door cards on the inside. Thinking of getting them flocked whilst they're off...might just leave them off for now, although the lack of arm rest is properly distracting after a bit!

My VR6 turbo, Haldex 4wd. The end....
chief replied to legvw's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
Have to say mate, this is absolutely fantastic....I'm another thats sat and read all 52 pages. Massive inspiration for mine. Hats off to you! -
It'll be run as a sort of semi-sleeper for a bit with the full CL trim....but the eventual plan is more of an A59 spec racer, stripped out, forced induction, properly wide arches and aftermarket bumpers....but that'll be a way off yet as having worked out what that will cost, will take some time to complete to a spec I'm happy with! It's likely to come together and look awesome, or fall apart in a world of fibreglass and filler

Cheers bud, it's one of the reasons why I went for anthracite! Hides brake dust a bit better! Haven't washed the car since I bought it which is quite bad of me!

Also...some better pics with a decent camera:

Cheers guys Couple of other bits been added, more CL spec'ness... Oh whats that...the bbs are up for sale?? (someone buy them so I can buy more stuff for this!) Also got these to go on aswell, just the rain started (again) so had to call it a day, after 5 minutes And a shonky one for good measure: All pics taken on my HD 12mp Blackberry camera! HA! Got one or two other bits planned/ needed...CL side strips, mirrors (thanks to some arse in the car park cracking the casing on mine and one or two other bits. Need my arches rolling as well, anyone recommend anyone in the Midlands for thi

How low to take coilovers sensibly?
chief replied to VR6-DUB's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
cheers mate. But I will agree with RCF. My front splitter currently has more cable ties than actual splitter material to it. Multi-story carparks, speedbumps and adverse camber in the road, do result in massive amounts of scrapping, but that always is a by product of a lowered car. -
How low to take coilovers sensibly?
chief replied to VR6-DUB's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
My old one; And current one; Both pretty much on the bottom of the coils. Current one is, but the previous one was on far superior coils. No scrubbing with people in the back or with a bootful on either of them -
Wheels now fitted....happened quicker than I thought :-d Brakes next, then change of coilovers & exhaust and then hit the interior up before sitting down and working out how I can justify/ fund FI.... So much for not spending money on this one!

Trial fit went well; And dropped down onto the wood; Think I might just get away without rolling the arches with a 195/40. Might add a small spacer on the front so I can camber the top in a little more as its sitting rather close to the coil at the mo. One more as well, because I'm crap at keeping stuff quiet! They look massive on the last pic! :-d Massive amount of space for the calipers behind the spokes, stupid amounts really! Really looking forward to Friday now so I can get the tyres on and start tweaking the ride height and finally get the alignment sorted. Cheers, J

Just another little update for now; Got a bit carried away taking the dash apart the other day and it resulted in this; Then decided to take the binnacle apart to give the needles a lick of paint; Then thought, sod it. Whilst its apart, might as well have a crack at doing something different...so this happened; Then set about creating something on Photoshop; But ran short of time as I needed the car at the weekend. So just did some silver dials, changed the font type and tidied the dials up...and a Ferrari-esque Yellow rev counter, bit ghey I know, but I like it...plus it's added 20bhp as

Porsche 993/ Audi RS2's bud. Contemplating on getting them done again on this one....subtle but cool mod.

Cheers guys, much appreciated. Yeah I might make it to Billing, really wanted to come along when I had the Mulberry, but never got around to it for some reason... My last one...should never have sold it, had sooo many nice parts on it that I let go for stupidly cheap money....Mulberry trimmed Recaro Pole Positions, Premier Performance dials...knew I should have kept hold of them! Ah well, onwards and upwards...going to start stripping the insides out over the weekend, think I've secured a seat for my arse...passangers side might take a bit more scowering!

Cheers bud, big fan of silver, it was either this or try and find a white one. In other news, not really done a great deal to the car other than ruin it a bit. Took the bumpers off with the intentions of doing some custom bodywork and fitted some CL bumpers as I didn't want to drive the car without any on! The car has also developed a misfire, so need to investigate that. Had planned on uprating the plugs and leads anyway, so this is just an excuse to do it earlier. Anyways... Mentioned it on edition that this is going to be more about driving enjoyment than show n shine. Done all that before

They were 17 x 8.5j et 35 (I think). Sat nice, especially the fronts; Rears needed some playing with, never got round to it though.

Cheers guys, got lots of plans for it, seen so much stuff for it already! As for wheels, think I've looked at more sets than I did cars. Would love another set of CH's like I had on my old one, but not sure. Glad I'm back in the VR as well, it doesn't feel that much slower than the GTV, despite being 50bhp down on it, but at least the MPG is more decent!

Hi all, been a while since I posted on here. Basically, I had this VR6 a year ago; Sold the car far too cheap, and it disappeared off to Ireland. Then the faint whiff of RWD wafted through my nostrils and ended up selling it to buy a 200SX; Anyway, enjoyed the Nissan for all of five months, then as winter kicked in, the thing got almost lethal...so I did the girly thing and sold it. With the funds from that, I thought sod it and ended up buying an Alfa Romeo GTV Cup, Then after being royally shafted on a regular basis by Mr BP and Mr Shell, I cut my losses and sold that. So naturally, when

Right....proper update then.... Finally got round to fitting to the Premier Performance dials that have been sat in my boot for a few weeks..... Bought one of these.... Was fed up of the CD skipping over every major bump etc.... Bought these.... Which are gonna look like this eventually.... As the car sits outside now.... ...needs a bit of work to get it sitting right in terms of "stance". But 2009 is going to bring some big changes, ordered the runners for the seats today, two week wait but will give me time to sort out the blue centres.... Then the rear seats are coming out, false

Thanks very much mate. Full credit to my mate rob who took the pic, I'm useless with a camera! :-d
