    Well good news, the VR is staying and having a massive make over/ new look for 2009... New seats are waiting to go in, new dials been fitted, rear seats are waiting to come out, new wheels have been found....just waiting to find a bank to do over for them! haha.... Will update this tomorrow with some pics!

    Its a Momo Team 280mm wheel with an Isotta Boss mate. Cheers dude, just fancied something different, BBS's were nice, but the photo's hide a bad refurb quite well, they would have cost me a fortune to get them refurbed into just another set of BBS's....I like being different anyways!

    Not updated this in a lonnnng time! Quite a bit has changed since the last post.... Ran it with the Schmidts for quite a while, managed to smash a sump, had it damaged by Awesome Gti who kindly mangled the sills for me, and the RAC who dented the front wing....so the money I'd put away for mods ended up going toward putting the car straight again. Then I got pulled off the Police for running the Schmidts, they protruded the arches and the police deemed it an unroad-worthy car and threatened to impound and crush it So the wheels went and got a set of narrow BBS RS's to go on....then sold th

    I don't think it's so much hate bud, more of people just saying what they don't like. I know what I listed wouldn't go anywhere near my car, doesn't mean I hate people that have done it to theres, like you said in your post, you hate saxo's etc....doesn't mean you'd shun the drivers of them. and on a warped note....i still love venoms....lol sad I know!

    smoothed bumpers....sorry just think they make a mk3 look ungainly and dis-proportionate. Know a lot of people run them, just never been overly keen on them. Also in general, LED washer jets, neons, graphics, ill-fitting body kits. mesh, massive exhausts, m3 mirrors or those with indicators built in. big wheels on small cars and stupidly dark tints..... ...oh and lexus lights, they look shit on lexi, let alone on anything else.

    ah cheers mate' date=' didn't realise they were off! The Schmidts are 9x16 with 205/35R16 Dunlop Sport SP9000 tyres mate. not 100% on the offsets though!     Just realised I haven't updated this thread for a while... Car hasn't changed an awful lot since the original post, all that has changed is the solitudes have been taken off and replaced with some Schmidt Modern Line 3 piece alloys wrapped in Dunlop Sport Sp9000 tyres. Other than that the only thing I've managed to do is wax the thing! However, things are on the brink of changing...for the better :-d A couple of months back I managed to catch the front bumper getting of my drive, and with the car being a daily, its picked up a few inevitable stone chips along the grill and bonnet....so I've u

    yeah i know what you mean mate, was one of my thoughts, plus with it having the darker lip, seems to make the wheel appear smaller.... Rikki, cheers fella, pain in the arse running that low though, splitter scrapes everywhere andif it goes as low again in summer as it is in the pics, its gonna get a lot harder!!

    Cheers mate, the cars on Gaz fully adjustable coilovers, not entirely sure how low it is pretty low though, the front splitter is about 60mm off the floor, it's set to come down another 20mm in summer when the schmidts go on...might go for a "rake" stance and leave the rear where it is now. Still undecided on the wheels at the mo though. J

    Cheers everyone, still loving driving the car, the noise it makes is immense! The highline wheels are in mint nick, but they're only winter wheels, have some 16" Schmidt Modernlines to go on for summer which are gonna get colour coded in Mulberry, either the dishes or the centres, not sure yet, then vento front end and some i.c.e then enjoy it!     found out what it was....not sure how to descibe it though, basically the speed hump tore a bracket that runs across the car under the exhaust that apparently is meant to catch it if the exhaust falls off...not sure on the proper term for it though... Anyone know if this is going to cause an issue rust/ rot wise?? J

Just noticed the car in your avatar....Cheers for the comments anyways bud, it is nice and low, a little to low, bottom'd out today on a speed bump which has left the car with a bit of a rattle....never mind! Really fancy a vento front tbh, but i don't know :-S

    Joined up a few weeks back, but only just recently took some photos.... Only done 85k, fvwsh, and is immaculate throughout. Got a few plans for it, but not 100% on anything at the mo.... All comments welcome! J

    Hi everyone, bit of an odd one this, literally just got back in from being out, but managed to get the VR stuck on a speed bump that was bigger than it looked, anyway, literally after getting off the bump theres a strange rattle that sounds like a spring when the clutch is depressed or whenever the car is setting off...is this likely to be something as simple as an exhaust mount or is it something serious? it was the mid section of the car that got beached if that helps??
