Just an update on this. I've now fitted the part as mentioned above. It is slightly different in as much as the numbers on the gear knob are in silver with clear plastic over them. Not all black like the original, but a lot better than the worn out one. Cheers Steve

Thanks Caddyrage Your information is spot on. It is the gear knob combined with gaiter. I've sorted it today. Tried another dealer and the parts lad knew his stuff. The part number for reference is; 1HO711118M1BX. It was 70.47 + VAT. A bit steep I know but it made the interior look shabby. Cheers Steve

Hi guys. First post on this forum! I've just picked up my VR6 yesterday and as with most cars there are one or two 'tidying' jobs to attend to. One of them is to replace the worn gearstick/boot gaiter. It's leather and goes over the top and forms part of the gear knob? I've been to a couple of local dealers and they can't identify the part. The car is a standard VR, registered 15/12/97. Can anyone help? :^) Cheers, Steve.
