My battery has just died on my vr what I need to know is what is the correct ampage battery?? I have looked at eurocar parts and they suggest a 400 amp cold cranking but that sounds a bit weedy to me. Any suggestions guys?? Thanx in advance Pete

Ported and polished throttle body make any difference on a vr?? Anyone got one or had one on there motor and did it make any difference to driveability??

Got a spare maf and I think I found the problem. I have got a pipercross airfilter that kept coming off, now secured it properly. The idle sticks around 900rpm for about 10secs then drops to 750. Going to change maf and give the throttle boddy a proper clean to see if that helps. Thanks for all the replys guys you have all been very helpfull. Nice one Pete.

I know if i disconnect the stepper motor on the side of the throttle body the revs drop to 750 but when i reconnect it the revs rise but no higher than a grand

My 97 vr6 has a idiling problem it starts fine revs fine but when stationery it idels at 1000rpm. Somtimes it will idle at 750rpm but then starts rising.No other problems apart from that, any ideas guys?? Thanks Pete.

Just put another engine and box into my vr due to cracking the last block. What I need to know is how do I adjust the linkage to select gears?? 1st no problem 2nd no problem 3rd got issues 4th no problem 5th and reverse no probs. I have also got a b&m short shift fitted. Please somebody help me it's driving me mad. Thanks in advance Pete.

Hi all I have got to do the abs pump on my 1997 vr. I have got a replacement all the numbers are the same. What I need to know is it just a straight forward swap?? I have read somewhere that it has to be setup is this true?? Any help will be greatly recieved. Thanks Pete.

My vr keeps pulling to the right and it also keeps doing bushes in on the driver side lower arm. I have had poly bushes and it split the front one The car is on fk coilovers and I have noticed that the top of the strut the top plate is about an inch above the inner wing. Could it be I have put the top mount together wrong?? Please help as its driving me f***ing mad. Thanks in advance pete.

The bushes have gone on my wishbones. I have looked through all my paperwork for the car and have noticed the wishbones have been replace about evrey 6 to 7 months is this normal?? Im going to polybush them now and was wondering where the best place is to get them from. Thanx in advance Pete.
