Front driverside wheel keeps locking up under hard braking on my mk3 vr. Car is lowered on coilovers 5mm spacers on the front and I have got 17" wheels. Any clues peeps?? Cheers Pete

I have a momo steering wheel but need a boss to fit it. Now I have been offered one that fits a mk1 & mk2 golf will it fit mine??? I also have the airbag steering wheel. Thanx in advance Pete.

Your oil cooler looks like another filter housing on the front of the block. There is 2 hoses on top. Hope this helps.

Hey peeps gotta oil leak. Got a new engine for the vr and was advised to change the sump gasket, so I got genuine sump gasket put some sealer on put it all back together and still the leak is there. Anybody else had this problem?? Its leaking from the gearbox side. :S

Mines done 125,000 all 12 hydraulic lifters and both cams.

I gotta be mad to do this. Right basically what I need to do is change my tappets on my vr. Has anybody done this and how hard is it?? I have some knowledge of mechanics and some help off friends (gotta supply butties and beer lol). Any advice would help greatly. Thanx in advance a desperate vr owner :S

Lower arm was done before and track rod ends after so I am gonna take myself to one side and give myself a slap lol

My vr has another problem When driving along it seems to be pulling to the left and the n/s tyre is worn on the outer edge. The car is lowered on coilies, when I lowered it I had the camber and tracking sorted and all was well. It has been lowered for about 6mnth now and this problem has occured. Tyre pressures are fine had new track rod ends and a new bottom arm drivers side as bushes were shot. Could someone pls shed some light on this as its doin my nut in. Thanx in advance Pete.

Hi all what I need to know is, is there any difference in the hydralic lifters in a vr6?? As in are the obd1 lifters the same as a obd2?? The reason I ask this is because I have heard that there are 2 different types. Thanx in advance Pete

Will a mk3 gti 8v exhaust fit the vr?? Reason for asking there seems to be a lot of ads on ebay saying mk3 gti/vr6 system, could someone please enlighten me.

What I am trying to figure out is it a high flow cat?? Cost me a case of magners, it never got fitted as my mates brother sold his vr before installing it
