  1. its got a big old air filter on it, from max power by the looks off it, from the previous owner, could that cuase the moisture, i have just recently bouhgt a stander air box, shall i use it ?
  2. well i dont think its been running right for a couple off weeks now, and at the weekend i started her up and drove her for about 3-5 mins and she was fine, i then stoped at the lights and it started to run lumpy, so i drove for a couple off meters before getting anoid with it so i decided to slow down and thrash it, through 1st 2nd and 3rd it pulls lumpy till 3000 revs then dissapears, just before the cam comes in on them at around 4000, and a surge off power comes, after the thrashing she was fine, i then drove it to brighton and back no probs, wich is about an hour either way. but this morni
  3. so 108-110 is ok then if im on the motorway doing high speed then as the air is ok i supose ?
  4. hi guys, just wondering. if you doing a fair bit off speed on the motorway for a little while what kind off temps does you digital read give ? becuase the needle guage stays the same.? so i was wondering maybe its time for an oil cooler to keep the temp down, and what size i.e, 13 or 16 row cooler shall i go for as i intend to charge it at a later date ? cheers john
  5. running 15 steels on mine, coilovers wound as far as theyl go , over the 288 brakes no probs, well apart from the sump i replacde 2 weeks ago!
  6. helo people , in need off some help here so any info would be very appriciated. ive just bought a set off OZ VEGA 3pc split rims, 16x7 16x8.   7. most ive ever had is 37.5 on the way bk fro no rice, on wednesday.and i think it was about 12mpg on the way down! lol, apparantly somthing to do with my right foot perminatly welded to the floor thing is is i never brought the equasion off fuel econimie into it when lloking for a vr, if you botherd about it, dnt get a vr, fist two weeks off having it tho was great, did about 6-7 tanks, lol it hit me hard to start off with but now i just love the car so much i dnt care!   11. rite ok, just found out it dosent hav a key, and i supose the engine mount, that needs moving place is a simpleish job, or will it foul any other compnent? also what about the air-con? as i still hav it. cheers j
  12. what kinda money you looking at to do the 24v swap? coz a m8 has offerd me the engine, just the engine, loom and throtle boddie, minus the intake manifold.........
  13. so its simply not worth going thru all the effort to do, concidering all that money, by the tim u spend it on the vr lump its prob got mre power? would you deffinatley need the key and egnition barrel for an engine chang, as the engine does have the loom?

  17. isant the mk4 covirtible dash the same fitment as its preety much the same, coz the mk4 covirt front end bolts straight on????? anyone kno?
  18. well im gna go for 8s on the front with a 195/45/15, and 9s on the rear with 205/45/15s, and paint them in vw reflex silver (polo 6n2 gti silver). all steels i see are all ways finished in black and i think silver would look great, clean on the dragon green its gna be seriously rockin low and wide!
  19. well ive just purchased so steel mk4 steels, and gna send em to that wide wheels place, so 8s up front and 9s on raer, then the deffo wnt look lost, what you think?

  21. hi ya people, just wondering what peoples opinions and advice are on running 15s on a mk3, espeacily for a every day driver, and the best width to go for, its rockin preety low down on coilovers now on17 bbs rc. (personaly i hate em on mk3s! so they gta go) can anyone help me?

  23. and also ive seen thes turbo kits in the staes on ebay, for like 400+ dollers, are they any good ? what would the shiping fee cost?
  24. for what power is that? wouldant i need a uprated clutch, injectors and intercooler? abd wgat do you think about aftermarket ECU?, or is the standerd one ok?
