ive noticed that my steering has started to feel a bit wooly recently , seems mnore vague and suffering with what seems to torque steer . ive changed both the bushes in the wishbone with powerflex items , recent ball joints also, what could be causing this ??

how would you go about raising the rev limit on a vr to 7k ? what parts engine work would be needed ? ive read a bit about cams and valve springs , I also read somthing about valve float , didnt go into this much ... any one shad any light ? thanks jonny.

right , im off to the Nurburgring on the 16th of november for the first time, not really sure what to expect or what to take with me in the way of tools or essentials if you will. how long is it going to take me on average from when we dock in france ? If anyone thats been has any advice or do's and donts that they want to share with me that would be grand . thanks in advance .

only in complete standard guise , the vr has a slightly softer set up in comparison to the gti, soon as you change the shocks that soon changes things. Ive just bought a neuspeed 28mm rear anti roll bar for my vr , they are awesome .

plugged my car into my mates v.a.g com earlier this eve as its been running like shit recently , stalls when warm and ticking over lumpy , it came up with 4 faults recognised . -vehicle voltage terminal 30 signal to small . -Idling speed regulation -throttle valve potentiometer-g69 , open /short circuit to earth -air mass metre -g70 short circuit to positive all i can gather from that is buggered air flow metre and throttle body . Can anyone shed anymore light on the codes and what i should do next ?

time for some new coilovers me thinks, Supersports just dont cut it anymore, Ive been scouting the market finding whats available etc , ive read mixed reviews with the FK stuff. Im torn between the kw variant 2 kit and the koni kit , was hoping some of you guuys could shed some light on both products ? im also a little concerned that the konis lower the car by 60mm max, 60mm isnt a lot these days on a dub , so if you have any pics of mk 3s lowered on konis that would be excellent , all feed back welcome . Thanks.

probably 2 hours each side cutting out foglights and plastic welding new bits in , about 5 hours of filler work , i didnt use hardly any but if you look at the little groove in the front bumper , the groove between the number plate and the fog light is bigger than the groove thatcontinues round towards the front wheel, i hope you understand what im getting at , So basically its just a case of building the larger groove up to match the smaller one .
-
cut out the fog light recess , bought a cheap rear gti bumper ,cut out two sections to fit into where the foglights were , plastic weld them into position making sure the bumper groove lines up perfectly, fully plastic weld all the way around , sand down welds , skim with filler , high build primer it , paint .
-
tapped into the bk of the headlights for indicators
-
Decided to change to a vento front end, looks more aggressive imo , Bit more individual aswell , i also plastic welded over the fogs and indicators in front bumper , quick skim of filler and its good to go. Im really happy with the end result , Job is top notch, you would never know , save me $$$$ to
-
