On this post: My Jetta '96 VR6 has got the OBD I throttle body, indicators etc but the Brakes and ABS unit looks exactly like the OBD II. Whats up with this config? Probably for South African conditions???

I had my '90 Jetta CLi (GTi) redone - gasflowed & ported with dished bi-metal valves 38mm exhast and 42mm intake. a 276 billit cam, vernier pully, custom TNT branch and blue printed block (balanced). Unfortunately, my one friend kept on nagging to buy the car. I dropped a '07 323 BMW in a mountain pass with it, revvs immediately to 7000rpm. My top speed on a straight with 4 other friends in it was 220kmh on the clock, with a standard CIS-injection @ 8000rpm. I guess from 82Kw up to +/- 98kw for normal aspirated standard mechanical injection.
