to be honest i havent got a clue where any of these things are you mention. i am a complete and utter novice when it comes to engines.i have looked again today and it does seem like there is a little pool of water at the back of the engine ??? ideally i would love for someone in the northwest area who knows what they are looking for to take a look for me

i changed the thermostat housing last week as that was leaking however i am still losing water. any other suggestions ? the car runs great and like i said is not showing the usual signs of head gasket failure

hi, i hope someone on here can help me, i purchased my vr6 about 6 weeks ago but over the last coupe of weeks i have had to keep topping up the water every 7-8 days. there is no "milky" residue in either the oil or the water and also the tempreture never goes above half way. i have noticed that when i am driving i can sometimes smell steam in the cockpit. and this morning i noticed some steam coming from under the bonnet, passengers side. i really love this car it is a joy to drive and was wandering if anyone had any ideas on what it could be and if anyone knows of any good vw specialists near
