  4. Not sure if anybody interested but I have my V5 Beetle up for sale . owned it for about three years , has been a Great car. Full details and photos are here http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201602201216763 I only bought it initially because after owning numerous VR6's it was getting harder to find one without corrosion issues . The main benefit of the sport model is it has the recaro type seats . I fitted it with a K and N kit, sounds great . Looks wise due to the American styling it stands out and I haven't seen many others around . Paint wise it does

  7. Just thought I would pass this on. Bought a low mileage VR6 about 6 months ago , always look to have one . Thing was it was Auto and the Missus wouldn't go near it . Spent a few months getting it mint and decided to let it go . Didn't bother posting on the forums as a member on Edition was looking for a low mileage VR , but when I PM'ed him mine , he wanted it for half of what is was looking for . So put it on Pistonheads and within 30 mins of posting it , a guy left me a deposit and sent somebody down this morning to pick it up. Turned out he was a collector . Just goes to show there are sti

Indian Red Metallic, L reg 94 with Air Con( I didn't know they did it that early) Drives and smells like new. Just done the usual Minimal stuff to keep as factory as possible : K and N Induction for smile factor and sitting on Eibach springs . In the process of Minting it up , so far so good.
  10. Hi Gav.Just replied your PM. Good luck with selling if thats what you decide. I agree some people think there worth buttons ,I disagree they are great cars and I keep going back to them having owned newer versions. So long as they are corrosion free ,smooth engine and low mileage with history they will sell .Just have to be patient. One bit of advise though try to get it as close to OEM spec as possible if you still have the parts put them back on ,buyers would prefer to carry out the changes themselves if at all,and if somebody is looking for a weekend car to maybe show etc OEM is the way forw

  16. Have tried auto glym and meguires leather products in the past but the best I have tried by far is called Gliptone.they do a cleaner and a conditioner only available on line though ordered mine from elite car care so good I just ordered some more to use on the wife's S line seats..

  18. Just a quick post .It seems the seals on my VR6 are gone as I am getting a fair bit of smoking and having to top up the oil.My friend is lined up to do it just looking to see where to buy the above to save stripping the whole top end down.Cheers..
  19. "Looks stunning and red is my favorite coulour, would you like to swap lol" Cheers Gav I have owned two dragon green VR's in the past and pretty close to being my favourite colour but fancied a change and red hit the mark.
  20. Had the motor for a couple of months now and finally decided to post up some details. Looked for ages trying to find a straight none corroded VR many wasted journeys until I managed to find this one. 2 previous owners FSH and only 55k miles and totally factory standard with the bonus of unmarked Recaro's.I have had a few 100k VR's in the past and well pleased but this is by far my best to date.Really quiet lump everything nice and tight well chuffed.Since picking it up have spent a few months detailing the paint and engine bay and cleaning seats etc.Fitted my old RX2's and last weekend had Eib
  21. thanks for the advise fella's.Was thinking of buying a single one but sods law a week later another one will play up so probably opt for a set from the main stealer..
  22. Just a quick question. One of my current leads is slightly split and arking a bit so need to replace. Have an R reg 97 Golf VR6(AAA). Should I just go for a set of OEM leads or look to change to maybe Magnecor or Spitfire? Is there any benfits from the aftermarket leads?. Cheers ..
