hi whats the difference between an obd1 dizzy and coilpack engine? i have a mk2 with a coilpack obd1 and am looking at buying a dizzy engine to replace mine? what will i have to do to run a dizzy engine? can i blank off the dizzy and keep the coilpack? cheers jim.

firstly thanks for the replies, i will check behind the coilpack for the aux water pump. 1. there is no coolant running through the pipes to the throttle body pipes. - If they are the ones I think you mean they are vacuum lines not coolant! 1-if they are vacuum why are they tapped off the coolant pipes? its the two black pipes which go into the top of the throttle body. 2. the return from the heater matrix is cool. - Is the heater matrix free flowing? Does hot air come out of the heaters? If the blowers blow hot air that heat is coming from the coolant so the return pipe will be cooler (thoug

ok so i noticed my car lacking in power when it hits the usual wheel spinning shannanigan rev range of 4-6 grand, it doesnt do it when cold only when warm and if i unplug the maf then drive the power band comes back, my questions are- does the ecu put a nominal value in for the maf when unplugged, and it has no wire mesh in it could that be making a difference, i have tried cleaning it with brake cleaner to no avail, also a bit of topic but what is the little valve type thing with a plug connection on it do, which is in the oil breather from the rocker cover to the intake pipe? thanks in advan
