  1. Was thinking along the lines of the Dutch Build/Dutch Dub one in this link http://www.dutchbuild.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=43&category_id=16&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=111&lang=en only it would need a leg welded to the top as well as the bottom
  2. Cool! Sure i'll try and remember to take a few pics as im doing mine.
  3. Yeah sure there re Helen! Shawsbridge and Lady Dixon Park are right next the hotel we're hooking up for you guys
  4. Original as in mk3 mounting points are not there, either on the box or the block. The only place it lines up the same is where you can see the bolt in the pic. I'm going to have to weld some supports top and bottom of the mount and bolt those to bolts on the bellhousing. Can get round the oil cooler issue by means of an early 12v fixing bolt in the centre of the cooler, not that that matters anyhow as I will be fitting a UM adapter tube for an external oil cooler. Was having a read through your thread the other night, real nice work. Some fabrication skills on ya
  5. Just curious as I can't seem to find any threads with anyone who has specifically done this. Most people seem to have opted for an 02A box with the conversion or those who are running 02M's are still running 12v's. I have my own ideas how to adapt it but was just interested to see how anyone else has done it. I plan to stay it to the bell housing top and bottom retaining the original hole on the bottom right for rhs of the mount Said mount..
  6. Just a couple of very cool videos from the last two shows, take time to watch, the second one captures the atmosphere very well imo 2010 - 2011 - Teaser for last year's show -
  7. I insure mine with the NFU Mutual, £35/year to sit in my shed fire and theft only. When I want to take it out for the weekend I up the cover to fully comp and costs me £25 for a week. Suits me but thinking about going for a proper fully comp policy so I can get some no claims built up as I have not had insurance in my own name in 10 years due to company cars. I have no mods declared on that policy by the way...
  8. You'll have to make a wee trip over too Adam
  9. Remember to add Dubshed to that list please Ben
  10. You can jump in my boot as a stowaway after UD's, only problem is you'll have to hide in there for two weeks until Dubshed lol!
  11. Quit complaining Ben lol. I see you've Worthersee booked already and that's two months after Dubshed!
  12. Good work, brave man! Will be attempting a 4wd conversion in my own mystic blue mk3 later this year also
  13. This is purely a feeler to see what you guys would think and see if there would be enough interest. We are not saying this is going to happen, just seeing if there would be enough interest to make it worthwhile. We've been having a think for the weekend at Dubshed and just wanted to put a feeler out there to see if there would be any interest for you guys to come up for the weekend and take part in a rolling road day at the show venue on the SATURDAY before the show. That way, combined with reduced rates on hotel rooms, a weekend could be made out of the show by spending the Saturday and Sunda
  14. That's the way we work it, two people per car and split the costs straight in half. That way our ferry and accomodation normally costs us £150 and about £50 each for fuel.
  15. The other way you could do it is just get the overnight boat from Liverpool to Belfast on the Saturday night and home overnight again on the Sunday night. That way you have no hotel to pay for but you potentially miss out on on a bit of pre-show craic in Belfast!
  16. Price for ferry isn't too bad going by what Craggsy priced. We are aiming to get a 20% discount arranged for show goers for this. Ben, I hope you can now appreciate what we spend coming to the mainland a couple of times a year for shows lol! Nobody to arrange discounts for us then either! Hotels will be available from £45 per room i'd imagine. We are trying to arrange group discount for that also. For those of you that aren't familiar with the show, it is a half indoor/half outdoor show. Last year we saw around 600 cars attend this from all over Ireland, UK plus 6 cars making the trip from Po
  17. You'll get more info as soon as i have it. Unfortunately next year's ferry prices wont be released until January but we hope to have a fixed discounted pricing structure in place once that happens.
  18. Helen, you have to drive. It is a necessary requirement
