    hi all after a great run up to pitlochry last week(honeymoon) thought i'd give the vr a good clean and polish, so here's some pics, hope ya's like. i think she cleans up not to bad lol cheers dave

    hi well after about a year off the road th vr6 passed it's mot yesterday with flying colours :-d, so will get the road tax today, then i can go play :-p cheers dave

    hi been of the road for months,and months and months, but the old mot happing wednesday(yeh ha) then road tax after that, then fun fun!!!, so heres some pics, she no been washed yet but she's still shiny lol cheers dave will put more on once i've gave her a good clean, but that wont happen this weekend getting married friday;)

    hi don't give up mate, i was the same,my vr6 was sitting of the road for over 7 months, just because of the thermostat, couldn't stop it leaking, got me down a bit(me not much of a mechanic) but i got of me arse and stopped the leak and the vr6 is booked in for her mot wednesday.hopefully taxed sat. cheers dave

    hi all any ideas to get mould out of the interior of me vr, car has been sitting for awhile, there was a leak getting into the drivers side, which i have stopped, but now i've got a mould collection, so whats best to get rid of it? cheers dave

    hi well gonna get me vr6 back on the road again, stage one was to get a battery charger, so i did only to find my battery was goosed(me not happy boy grrrr!!!). so gonna have to buy a new battery tomorrow. then it's just a case of filling the rad system,popping the battery in and turning the key(god hope she starts) she's been sitting for quite a while og the road. stage 2 is mot, she's biiked in for wednesday. stage 3 road tax, then hopefully fun fun fun on the road again!!!!! feel the power lol dave

    hi it's new crack pipe and thermo housing,the car was fully serviced before going off the road,so you recon it should start,will any off the pullys be siezed?.reason not started for solong,work away from home alot.

    hi all i've got a p plate golf vr6, currently off the road, it's been sitting for about 6 months wothout urning it over, so question is what should i look out for before starting her up, aso i changed the thermo stat(pain in the arse job) but it's leaking but i can't see where the waters coming from, i've had it on and off about four times ,so is there anyone how can help?, cos once i've got it started and running me gonna sell her. cheers david

    hi all tried the thermostat change, and the housing was damaged,at the bit that goes in to the block,and the over for the thermostat, has one bolt that wont come out aaargh. anyone got a spare housing and all the bits, don't need thermostat though, got a new one. cheers

    cheers, i don't have a new housing, so take it i'll have to be really careful then. coil pack easy to come off then?. you can tell i;m gonna be really pants at this lol
