because evrytime i play with the engine things go from bad to worse to then new engine lol so i have been told to leave it alone lol -

Quick update nothing major changed apart from i changed the needle colour ! as you can see below there is a standard merc needle with a bit of wet a dry you can take the orange paint off then i got some GREEN !!! sticky back plastic also you do have to drill the merc needles with a 1mm drill otherwise they won t fit ! and here they are all finnshed i do wanna back light the needles and also really want some DDI dials then i think they will look sweet !

little update well i got a complete engine this weekend with 88k on the clocks which was a touch so what i did was buy that then ripped my old engine out swap all my good parts over then dump the new engine in !! and bongo started up lovely ! i will upload some pics of that later on but i thought i would put pics up on my new door catchs which i played with enjoy ! Here is pic with the door catchs after plating and the new pins i made with the new plastic catchs. before after and the finnshed product and i must say very very happy with them !!! was abit of a bitch to flaten the pin over t

yea the senor is off a 88000 mile car which i did a swap with my old lump but i didn t swap over the sensor as my old worked fine ! do you want a pic of it ?

yea mate you do have a cam sensor its of the right hand side of the engine above the coil pack if you want one i have one spare if you want ?

i will give you a tip as i did rebuild my head and i used a 50 tone press to press in the valve guides lol but the tip is to put the valve guides in the freezer over night which will help go in the head easy ! if not then buy some plummer freeze spary which work ok hope this helps !!

I know how you feel mate ive only got a complete engine with 88 on the clocks hopefully this is the late time i rebuild it !! good luck mate on rebuilding it !!!

Right people thought you might like a update on this as you might know i have engine problems from day one i think but i never let it get to me ! there have been two times i nearly broke the vr and im glade i havent ! what i have done is sourced a new engine which has only done 88000 miles ! so has a look at it as it was still in the car and ran like a dream ! so done a deal to get engine and gearbox !! yea but in the mean time i have been messing around with LEDs !!!! so here is what i have done ! ah i have the same with first its great !! not fucking thing i look and sound like a knob while pulling away so i ve started to use second !! oh by the way liking the car but not so sure on blue rear lights but hey each to there own !

yea in a little lovely place called crawley where you have to stab someone to be kool lol yea there are a few vr's around crawley ive seen like 3 ! and lets face it you will see me as my vr is smoking like a trooper !! lol

right just a quick update i ve carryed on cleaning out the head !! looking much better now as you can see below ! yea so ready to press the new valve guides in then reem them to make sure its a lovely fit !!! then the valves and springs and top hats and etc etc ! lol But im also working on some door lights for when you open the car door i tried this one once before but was falling to bits so i bought the proper door light! and what i did was get some green LED strip that runs strait off a 12v and hot glue it into place as you can see below ! then i wanted to see if it work so got hold

best way to test the plugs is you take all the plugs out and take the fuel reg out ! and put one ht lead back in and put a spark in the ht lead and turn the vr over and see how well the spark is ! if ok then swap the spark over or the quick way i found was disconnect one ht lead and start up the vr and see if the engine sound worse ! or if it sounds he same thats your problem ht !!!

lol everyone has asked this question and the answer is unless you want cheap shit that will break as soon as you get it out the box then go for it !! but really don t bother !
