    I've had problems like this I've changed the whole bottom end due to old bottom end had bore wear and then after that I thought everything will be ok no turns out the valve guides where warn which then fucked the valves ! So The only thing I can say is take the head off and check over everything it's long but worth it !! Hope this helps

    well at 80mph the mk4 gearbox will be doing 4000 rpm when my standard box was doing 70mph at 3000 rpm so not really that much of a difference really !? im just after either a vr6 standard box or some other box or box MOD lol

    i got my head gasket twice from gsf car parts and they work really well reason why i ve had two due down to either pistons or head issuses ! lol

    Hello people as you must know me by now as my car has been on and off !!! for ages i was going to break it but due down to i couldn t get a newer car i thought would be better to see what the problem was !!! so i had a look and after all this time i thought it was the pistons again !!! but it wasn t it was the valves and valve guides !! so i bought some more ! which lucky for me i got most of this for cheapish ! lol then got me head off and a dremel and started to clean out my head !! Im hoping to have this pretty much all done next weeek some time i cannot wait but next on the list is

    I thinking of changing the gearbox but ive heard about the mk4 v5 gearbox goes on but you need to change the driveshafts ? i think or the cups pressed into the gearbox ? i was woundering if someone has done this before and could advise me on what code of gearbox and driveshafts etc etc any help please would be great !!!!! thank steve

    i don t the same i replaced the bat twice (lucky for me under warranty lol) as the second new bat would hold a charge of 10v then when charging it see it went up to 13v then when i turned off the charger dropped like a stone back down to 10v !! but defo make sure all earthing wires have good connections !!

    that was abit like when i bought my vr the rear spring had been broken since 07 and the bastard let me drive off in it ! well at least its all sorted !

    i would have thought that you just tighen them up mate i had the front strut brace and the bar running across went beheid the air con pipes. They are only for show those types of strut braces as they are made3 out of ali ! not the most strongest of materials
