Hey all, just so I can keep track of things and get advice from y'all, this is where I'm going to keep all info on modding my golf. I'm putting together a 'wishlist' of things I would like to get done. Due to finances, it'll probably only be one or maybe two things a month. Ahhhh you must have been in Halfords for aaaaaaages I was there at least 40 mins!! Why are they obsolete? Any Watford meets soon, btw?! I've got one on sunday, harlequin car parks, not vr6 though

Hey all... Golf noob here. I'm wanting HIDs but I know they're meant to go into a projector lens, which standard headlights dont have. I've a MKIII VR6. What other headlights are out there that have a projector lens in them? I'm not interested AT ALL in Morettes, before they're suggested!! Names are good, names and pics great, names, pics, links and prices are what I'm after! Thank you x

Cant get on ebay at work!! >.< Will check it when I get home though! Okay, something else has cropped up. Apparently these headlights are reflector, nto projector? And HIDs work better with projector else it produces a scattered light that's illegal???? IS a projector something that could be bought and fitted into my currect headlights, then a HID kit wired in after? Or do I need to get new headlights with projectors in them? Or would HIDs go stright into my current, standard headlights no fuss and work fine after??

Yup and the immobiliser goes into the dash, yup. So that's all standard VW? £200 isnt bad at all! I'll get springs, HIDS and whatnot sorted then I'll get a new alarm! Lots of effort just for a beep!!! Thankies!!!

I've got no idea if it's vw or aftermarket.... How complicated is getting it replaced with another alarm? Is it pricey?

Is it easy to get a new alarm installed? Would it affect the immobiliser?

I think 8000k will be a bit too much, so I'll aim for le 6000k! My lights are really dull and yellow, defo no blue in them!? I'll have a google search for some prices. Sankoo

I'm really such a newbie, sorry for all the questions! When you lock or unlock the car, it beeps, right? Is there um, any way to change that beep? It's just one drone at the mo and was wondering if there's anyway I can change that beep to a sort of... better, louder one? Sorry if that seems a stupid question! Also the headlights give off a boring sort of yellow tint. One of them has just gone so I think it's a good time to replace. What would I need to get for HIDS with that nice blueish tint? They're 8K aren't they? What sort of prices would I be looking at? Am I just swapping the bulbs or do

Hi all, posting this all on the net, need an answer ASAP. Taking out my golf tape deck to put my pioneer one in. As i've taken it out, an alarm has gone off. One long beep, like a house alarm. The car has an immobilizer but this is not affected, the car alarm has not gone off. I've disconnected the battery and the alarm is STILL going. ANYONE know or heard of this problem before, please let me know ASAP as it's doing my fucking head in!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twas me! Thanks for finding out, Chris! I've since re-found the site again! She was low on oil, ta... had to fill up nearly 3 litres! Stupid letting her get that low, I know... >.< -
I honestly dont know where the noise is coming from so I dont know which section this should be in. It's either coming from the power steering (does power steering make noise!?) or perhaps the offside front wheel... there or there abouts. Basically, I can drive it absolutely fine there's no drop in speed or power or handling or anything like that... but every time I turn to the right - even slightly, there's a werid noise... It's hard to describe, it's sort of like a buzzing noise... but muffled...?? Sorry for being vague... it's more of an irritation than anything, but does anyone know about
