  1. cant belive he still doing this, he`s been on loads of forums covering almost every car you can think of. i have even seen his name mentioned on forums based in the states. edition38(classified disputes section) has a post listing forums, user names and products/types of items offered by this fool. its a wonder he can walk his balls must be massive.
  2. would i be right in thinking that the 8v and 16v gti and vr6 wishbones are the same
  3. i think its a 23mm, i used several extension bars and a U.J. and a good bit of wiggling, do with a cold engine because you will have to wedge a limb down the gap
  4. i had a leak from the sensors(oil pressure switch`s blue & black) pretty straight foward inexpensive to sort, common fault. got mine from my local vag spare centre cost £10.99 for both
  5. 600-800 is not as much as i was thinking i would have to spend, i havnt realy looked in to putting coilovers back on because i thought i would have to be spending more like 1000-1100. and the fact i use it daily and live in a village with roads like the moon put me off a bit also
  6. when you say adjustable i take your talking coilovers. iam getting on a bit so a little bit of comfort would be nice, i dont mind a firm ride but find the coilovers horrible, firm but it doesnt handle nice and would i be right in thinking you have to spend big bucks to get coilovers that provide a good ride/handling set up without the need for a new spine
  7. iam junking the coilovers my vr came on,(fed up with crashing about and iam more interested in handling than sceen stance B.S.) and reverting back to original type suspension with koni yellow dampers, what is the optimum amount to lower the car from a handling point of view? i have seen eibach lowering springs that lower the front a touch more than the rear, or am i better getting a set that lower an equal amount front and rear. it would be nice if the car ends up sitting level but the handling is the most important factor, Ty
  8. on the way home this eve i noticed the last digit on my MFA readout is fluctuating between just the last part of the digit missing and the whole digit missing, its not constantly changing, one minute its got just a bit missing then and it will stay like that for a while then change, doesnt seem to be any pattern to it. is it a sign of things to come? any ideas? just been out to vr and the last digit is now complete, cars been sat outside for about an hour

  11. iam looking for a winter car at the mo and will be taking my code reader with me i dont think its any cheekier than pulling up carpets and jacking up the car up and crawling about under it. its just another check, modern cars need to be checked in specific ways

  13. it always starts but sometimes i have press my bipper when the keys are in the ignition, its always done it, happens about 50% of the time. my speedo is eratic works when it feels like it, sometime not at all sometimes flicking about i also got two abs codes, 00283 left front sensor and 00287 right rear sensor but i cant find the meaning of the other numbers that also come up, 00283 had 01 03 and 03 03, 00287 had 02 03. i have googled the cr%p out them cant find an answer, thanks Ty
  14. my 1995 auto has thrown up some fault codes, 17978 which i belive is control module locked not too sure what that means, is it something to do with immobilizer and also 00281 vehicle speed sensor no signal (g68) ok this is where i show my ignorance where is the g68 sensor located thanks Ty
