Anyone in/near Milton Keynes that can help me please?
luckstar69 replied to luckstar69's topic in General Chat
Yes mate, had a good chat with Greig about it. But can't really drive the thing at the moment as its really sticking! Can't afford to trailer it anywhere. Do you use them/work there? -
Hi I have a caliper thats almost stuck on my OSR disc and wondered if anyone could take a look? I've heard it may need winding back? The ABS and handbrake light won't go out at all. It's a V6 4motion 2000my, Garage say the sticky caliper has caused the Haldex ECU to break, just wanted to try the car out with the caliper working normally first. I'm happy to give some beers or cash for helping me. :-) Thank you

Hi there, I bought a V6 4Motion on Sat and I think I bought a bit of a pig, I love the car but not the problems I have with it. On the way home it started squeaking on the o/s/r wheel. It turns out the caliper is clamping on as maybe its sticky and this over time has caused the Haldex ECU to fail. Below is a list of things my local VW specialist has recommended. The car now has ABS light on and the handbrake light on, it wont go off, I think they jammed the caliper even tighter on the disc, its really rubbing now and I'm worried its gonna mess up the disc and pad and mess up the 4wd! They sa

Hi there I sold my VR6 Highline last year, saved up some pennies and yesterday bought a 3 door, Silver, V6 4Mom I love it! I just need some advice on a few bits that I'd like to repair/replace please. 1) One of the wings paintwork looks all cracked & water marked, like the lacquer is cracking (but feels smooth), I wondered if I should just buy a wing from eb@y and put it on myself, is this easy? 2) I need a seat handle lever ( its a 3 door) as I don’t have one on either seat and cant tilt seats forward! 3) I think I managed to fix the rear washer just problem yesterday after I noticed th

Coolant Expansion Tank leaking
luckstar69 replied to luckstar69's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
They're all very dry -
Hi all I think my tank is leaking, I am not 100% sure though, when I top the coolant up to max level, I check my driveway and the next morning its dripped a bit and after a day or 2, I'm back down to minimum level on the tank, just under the tank seal where the 2 halves are joined. There is no leak from the cap itself, its dry around this area. I can’t see where it’s leaking from but I know it’s dripping from a height, I can feel the back of the tank and it feels damp, just after I’ve topped it up and sometimes see a drip hanging from the bottom of the tank. I can’t pin point the le

Hi mate, I was told he'd need 45 minutes to an hour to do all what was needed. I'm taking it in a 4pm today and hope I come out with a car that drives straight! I'll keep you posted. I think the HawkEye stuff they use is ok... "HawkEye™ high-definition digital imaging alignment employs patented technology to offer shops the multiple benefits of precision, high-speed alignment and greater productivity, in a minimum of bay space. Measures camber, caster, toe, thrust angle, SAI, IA, Toe-Out-On-Turns†and Maximum Steering Angle†. "

Hi all Last week I had numerous repairs carried out due to pulling left, vibration and droning noise. I had these replaced: 2 x rear shocks, Inner CV joint, Rear pads and discs, rear bearings, tie rod ends (191419811) engine mount rear. All 4 wheels were balanced to (some weights were way out I was told). The vibration and droning had gone BUT it still pulls left. I find myself pulling right with some force to keep the car straight, I have done the tests of driving on the other side of road and flat roads and it always pulls left. The steering wheel naturally sits at the 11 o'clock when it’
