well what can i say........i found another car i fell in love with and i just had to have it ! its a carlton gsi3000 ! its 20 years old and in pretty much mint condition, sorry guys ! the thing is i dont know what to do with my vr6 i dont owe me anything i only paid £300 for it almost 2 years ago and the only thing to go wron with it is the fuel pump, i work away from home for a few months at a time and everytime i come home i just turn the key and she fires up straight away ! i really cant fault it. im pretty tempted to keep it and strip it out and throw in some bucket seats, i like the vr6

Camber Issues with fitting FK coilovers?
vr6binks replied to 1949bug's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
i fitted some FK coilovers to my vr6 and had the same problem ! the top mounts are ment to be raised up a bit and when i set the camber i loosened off the 2 bolts and pulled it as far out as it would go and then push it in a little bit and it wa fine. its just a pain in the arse as you have got to keep fitting the wheel and take it off again to get it right ! -
dont forget about the import taxes when buying from the states !

well i fitted my 6 brance with a de-cat pipe and a corrado inlet manifold all at the same time and i noticed a great improvement.

Sounds like a tank, engine buggered?
vr6binks replied to Gadget-Master's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
not every bump or pot hole sffected mine mate, for example when i go to my dads house he lives down a hidious long, bumpy lane and for a full on lowerd car it didnt like it but it would be fine and wouldnt run on 4 cylinder but if i hit a pot hole or bump it would. it confused me and pissed me off for a while until i found out it was the loom. next time yours runs on 4 cylinders keep the car running and pop the bonnet and just gently wriggle the wires in the large round connection block and see if it makes a difference, it might not but if it does you can sort it for the price of a cable tie ! -
i got a hot tunng 6 brance on mine and its a beast ive had it a year with no problems and the delivery was pretty quick considering it came from germany !

my problem was the big round connection block to the back right of the engine, i cant tell you what wire it is as im working away rom home ! i just put a cable tie around the wires on the right hand side of the connection block and pulled it tight and it sorted it ! i hope this helps -

i get the same problem mate, sometimes when i hit a bump or speed hump the car goes down to running on 4 cylinders and it sound crazy, almost like a a subaru ! i managed to trace it back to a dodgy wire in the loo in the engine bay. i would have to stop the car on the side of the road and wriggle the loom and then it would be fine. -
i got a cr500 which is road legal with its day light mot. the thing is a weapon !! dont worry about the test its pretty easy !

i work for a off shore drilling company i work on either rigs or boats and work all over the world. im going back to work in africa again tomorrow !

well guys it was mot time on my car, and bearing in mind i only paid £300 for it over a year ago and it looking tatty as hell it failed but only on wishbone bushes and 2 front tires and the number plate builbs. so i got it all sorted for little over a hundred quid i took it back and got my mot ! sweet ! i also put on new track rod ends, had the tracking done and gave it a nice service(as i aint changed the oil for over a year) and now the beast is running sweet as a nut ! so now shes back for another year im thinking about getting it sprayed and sorting out the interior as the seats and dash

vr6binks replied to vr6binks's topic in I.C.E, Security an Electrical
ive been tinkering about with the pump and im pretty sure that the pump needs replacing cos some times it will pump the fuel through to the injectors and other times it wont ! i will check the relay and fuse tomorrow when theres some sun light !
